Nick Price was recently discussing roids too. He does not believe its a problem on tour now, but visions a nearing explosion. What is a kid who has dreamed of making a living his whole life going to do when his maximum drive his 265 yds? When he is told he can't make it on tour with that length, he'll seek a little help given all the money there is to be made.......what happens when 10% of the kids are looking for help? The guy that naturally hits it 290 no longer has an advantage.....dominoes. It happened in football, boxing, track, tennis, swimming, biking....the list goes on...why not golf?

Personally, I think it happens today.... Not as infested in golf as other sports but I do think some of the training being done to bulk up etc may include uses of a few substances that would be banned if testing took place. jmo.

That's crazy. One makes it on the tour because they win or place high in the tour qualifying tournaments it has nothing to do with how far they drive. Someone who hits a consistent 265 yd drive into the fairway is more than competitive to play even the longest par 4s and score on those holes.

There is nobody in the PGA telling someone " oh you shot 15 under par in the school qualifying tournament but since your drive is only 250 yards your not getting your tour badge."
