Doesn't the NBA alone disprove that theory?

This corellation is not a surprise. Good nutrition and the avoidance of recurring or chronic illness results in greater height, within the range of one's genetic possibility. Those factors also lead to greater academic success.

Being a guy who is all of 5'6" "tall" I can say with certainty that of all of my employees who happen to be taller than me are quite intelligent. But, I'm still the boss.

I find that being tall really sucks at times. Ever hit your forehead on a low hanging ceiling fan with lights? You're stuck with big vehicles because nothing has enough leg room? Have to spend an extra $100 bucks for a "big mans" lazy boy because the leg extender hits your calves?
Any tall people got more things they *hate* about being tall?

Watch the DU use this BS to discredit Bush in comparison to Kerrey. John Kerrey has got to be the dumbest person in US government, and he's very tall, lol.

I knew there was a reason I was so smart! ;) j/k
Oh and to join in the "I hate being tall because..." crowd, it's annoying being a tall girl (5'10" so not all THAT tall) because I inevitably get in a group of shorter women and feel like a giant tree.

Don't think this has anything to do with being taller equaling more intelligence, but rather that a taller person may have more self-confidence and more leadership ability.

OTOH, some tall people are so self-conscious that they keep themselves at the bottom of the success ladder.

UMMM>..

malnutrition causes growth lag. and malnutrition causes brain growth lag.

Ergo, good nutrition increases both height and IQ

When we were in Africa, the schools supplemented free lunches to kids. So the kids who went to school were not only taller but smarter.
