Hubba Hubba!!
Eureka!!
Bingo!!
FReepers are Awesome!! I got the driver from Dell.com on one of my working machines, put it on a flash drive, and loaded it on the "lonely" machine. I then went into the Device Manager, and Voila, Network Adapter had appeared, and the correct network adapter was under it, so then I 'updated the driver', and I have Internet!
The odd thing is that I knew what the name of the Network Adapter is, so last night I loaded the supposed driver for it off of the driver disc that came with the machine, but it didn't work. But once I went to Dell.com and put in the Serial#/Service Tag# of the machine, it turns out it gave me the correct driver. Weird that they didn't give me the correct driver on the disc that came with the machine.
Now when my wife wakes up (she pulled a 12 hr shift at the hospital last night), she will be pleased to be able to go on the Internet on her own machine!
Thanks again to the incomparable FReeper Geek Squad!!

Sometimes when you do a restore off a disk and it is either dirty or scratches on it, ( Sometimes ? ) it ( might ? ) go through the whole process, but, since it won't or can't read ( ALL ) the information, it might miss the correct one.
remember ? CDs/DVD/ disk can lose it's information over time by just sitting around.

Hey Babu ?
We can vouch for you.
When your wife comes home, and you tell her you " worked all day in that project ".
Just take her here on FR and show her all the responses you got.
I know she will see the compassion and effort you did for her to get her computer running again.
You got to give her a lot of credit to,,, 12 hours ? on her feet,,, keep up the good work.

Congrats!
Here is another bit of advice. Go to: http://www.gtopala.com/ and download his nifty piece of freeware (I'm sure he would accept donations!) called SIW (System Information for Windows).
It generates a comprehensive report of your computer that can be saved to a text file. Put that test file in a safe place and if you should find yourself in this position again you can review it for any of those "unknown device" messages you may see in the Device Manager.
Ain't computing fun?!
