Yes FReepers and FReeperettes, its time once again for another season of Survivor.
This time they are in the Cook Islands, in the middle of the South Pacific.
I was going to start off this thread by informing you all about how Mark Burnett’s Production Company has decided to split the tribe along ethnic backgrounds. But that subject has been pretty much beaten to death on at least three different threads. So. . . .
I would like to point out that for all their talk about “minorities” not applying to the show as much as “whites” and about how they had to send their casting producers out to round up minorities, they apparently didn’t have to look too far.
Of the 20 contestants recruited for this season, no less than 13 are from California!
And of those 13, NINE are from the greater Los Angeles area!
So much for diversity!

One survivor is seriously hurt when they slice their finger with a machete, forcing the medical team to arrive at camp. How will this injury affect their position in the game? We know from the promos that Parvarti is the one to slice her finger. Although it may be serious enough to call in the medical team, I don’t think they will pull her from the game. In other words, nothing to see here folks, let’s move along.
One alliance devises a plan to hide food from their competing tribe members in an effort to make them hungry and weak. Will they succeed in breaking down their fellow tribemates? It’s doubtful of the Yul, Ozzy, Becky, Sundra and Jonathan alliance tries to hide food from Adam and Parvarti. After all, they didn’t try to hide it last week when they snarffed down din-din without sharing. I think that Adam and Parvarti are the ones to try and hide food. This doesn’t work since both Jonathan and Ozzy have proven themselves to be able bodied fishermen.
At the Reward Challenge, surprise guests arrive to help the survivors compete for the opportunity to take part in a local ceremony and feast. We know from the promos that this is the Family Visit. In fact we are shown vidcaps of Becky's sister (Sarah), Sundra's mom (Jeanette), and Parvati's dad (Mike). And we know from the spoiler websites that Yul's brother, Adam's dad, Jonathan's wife and Ozzy's mom show up, as well. Who wins? See the description for the Reward challenge below.
At an immunity challenge, balance and agility are assets. Who can maneuver their way to victory? Again, see description for the Immunity Challenge below.
The Reward Challenge involves both the players and their respective family member. The object appears to be a water toss race to fill up a bucket. We see from the vidcaps below that the survivor are blindfolded and they must dip water out of a bucket, toss the water to their family member, who must catch as much water as then can in their bucket and then fill the larger bucket behind them. Probably the first one to fill their larger bucket raises a flag and wins the reward.
Becky tosses to her sister.
While Adam tosses to his dad. 
And, it appears that Parvati wins (with a little help from Dad.)
Not only does she win the Reward Challenge, she gets her revenge on Jonathan by sending him off to Exile Island.
The Immunity Challenge is yet another water obstacle course race tailored made for Ozzy.
