Yes FReepers and FReeperettes, its time once again for another season of Survivor.
This time they are in the Cook Islands, in the middle of the South Pacific.
I was going to start off this thread by informing you all about how Mark Burnetts Production Company has decided to split the tribe along ethnic backgrounds. But that subject has been pretty much beaten to death on at least three different threads. So. . . .
I would like to point out that for all their talk about minorities not applying to the show as much as whites and about how they had to send their casting producers out to round up minorities, they apparently didnt have to look too far.
Of the 20 contestants recruited for this season, no less than 13 are from California!
And of those 13, NINE are from the greater Los Angeles area!
So much for diversity!
Welcome to the whacky survivor thread on FR.
Lampoon the show and the players all you want!
I'm laughing at how many of the players are pronouncing PARVATI's name as "Poverty"!
The New Aitutaki Tribe (Red Buffs):
Becky, Candice, Cao Boi, Jessica, Jonathan, Ozzy, Sundra, Yul
The New Raratonga Tribe - (Blue Buffs):
Adam, Brad, Cristina, Jenny, Nathan, Parvati, Rebecca, Stephannie
The LOSERS!
Sekou, Billy, Cicilia, J.P.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, its Thursday. So that means its time once again for your:
The title of tonights episode is "Don't Cry Over Spilled Octopus"
And from the official SeeBS website we have the following clues:
The Raro men decide to prove their worth around camp by gathering a ton of wood and food. Will this be enough to keep the women happy or will the men be in danger? Will this be too little-too late or will the mens willingness to sacrifice one of their own (J.P.) at the last Tribal Council be enough to sway the women? Only time will tell.
While exploring the area, members of Aitu unknowingly land at Raro's camp. The awkward encounter becomes even worse when Cao Boi talks non-stop and asks if he can take some of their supplies. If Aitu knew what was good for them, they would offer to leave Cao Boi there at Raro, so Raro could sacrifice him at their next Tribal Council. Then again, that might be against the rules, so forget I even said anything.
Cao Boi becomes frustrated with Candice, Becky, and Sundra as they laze around and do nothing at camp. Cao Boi should watch his step. Hes treading on thin ice as it is.
Adam catches a large octopus, but Cristina, whose attitude is already annoying her tribe, accidentally lets the octopus escape while rinsing it off. Will this incident put her in further jeopardy or will she be able to win her tribe back over? Since I refuse to admit that my Lady Cops days might be numbered on the island, Im gonna say that she manages to smooth things over at Raro. Especially since the first clue told us that the Raro men gather a ton of wood and food.
The Reward Challenge appears to be the typical hold as much weight as long as you possibly can. The last person/duo/group/tribe to remain in the challenge wins
We cant tell too much from the vid caps who wins, but it seems as if Adam and Nathan are really struggling so maybe Aitutaki wins? Then again, Adam and Nathan are the only team we are shown any vidcaps of, so maybe this is an attempt to throw us off the track and Raratonga really wins. Then again, who knows! Im gonna go with my gut and say that Raratonga wins the Reward Challenge.
The Immunity Challenge appears to be a how long can you balance your entire tribe on a tiny platform over the water type challenge.
As we can see from this vidcap, Nathan isnt too pleased:
So, Im gonna say that Aitu wins this challenge.
Well, there you have it:
Reward Challenge Winner: Raratonga
Sent to Exile Island : Another wild guess - Becky
Immunity Challenge Winner: Aitutaki
Tribal Council Bootee: Stephannie
Ill be back Monday morning with a recap, so till than,
Take care,
Freepmail me if you want to be added to or removed from the Survivor Ping List.
"I'm laughing at how many of the players are pronouncing PARVATI's name as "Poverty"!" I know, what a dreadful name!
"Adam catches a large octopus, but Cristina, whose attitude is already annoying her tribe, accidentally lets the octopus escape while rinsing it off."
LOL!
I didn't know octopuses could run that fast. She wasn't rinsing it off IN THE OCEAN, was she??!
Well she had to rinse all that sand off after all! And she couldn't very well use Fresh Water. That is just for drinking! Dontchaknow. :~D
Ya there? :)
I'm here kiddo....how have you been?
tell Mike I need a small flat screen tv for in front of my computer...I hate turning around all the time...he just laughs when I mention it...he says *you got a 27in tv right in back of you!*

I'm afraid of antidepressants ... Did you get the valium?
LOL
Chicks checking their pits again ...
He gave me a script for valium and 2weeks of samples of the antidepressents....I'm afraid to take them too...I just went on the internet to check the side-effects,,,,dangerous.....I'm not depressed, just worried....he would listen to me.....
are we he alone again tonight?
Well, you know what's best for you ... but if you're at all uncomfortable with the ADs then don't take them. Like you said, you're worried, not depressed.
Hey, I want to see that portrait that you did of your dad.
If this show doesn't get exciting soon, I might tune out the rest of the season.
Even the reward is dull. Spices, wine and fishing gear. Yay. What happened to the big table of cheesburgers and ice cream? :)
