Yes FReepers and FReeperettes, its time once again for another season of Survivor.
This time they are in the Cook Islands, in the middle of the South Pacific.
I was going to start off this thread by informing you all about how Mark Burnetts Production Company has decided to split the tribe along ethnic backgrounds. But that subject has been pretty much beaten to death on at least three different threads. So. . . .
I would like to point out that for all their talk about minorities not applying to the show as much as whites and about how they had to send their casting producers out to round up minorities, they apparently didnt have to look too far.
Of the 20 contestants recruited for this season, no less than 13 are from California!
And of those 13, NINE are from the greater Los Angeles area!
So much for diversity!
ROTFLMAO!
Well, I wish they'd hurry up and get on with it. This has moved from High Drama to kinda boring.
Of course, I'm ready for 24 and Jack Bauer to start...It's all high drama.
Ozzy seems to be the crowd favorite!
Yul...minorities under represented on TV...oh give me a break...Ozzie, "What is a Mexican?"...sheesh..
Don't they remember that Korean Female Comic TV show and that with the Hispanic Singer??? I know I do...
Why can't they just leave the race stuff out of it?
Bwahhhh, I wanted Ozzie to win. He got my chick vote.
Oh well, some of the voters on the jury did too, so I don't feel so bad. ;)
I find it most telling that the final four were from the same intermediate, mixed "tribe," not from the same ethnic quintet that the game started with.
YUL!!!! :) I know you two lost interest in this one. :) But I'm still glad Yul and Ozzy were the final two.
Yul is fine by me, I would have also been fine with Ozzie! Kind of a boring season, no real villains...
Happy Yul won. We actually missed the first hour and a half, had dinner company over and forgot to start taping. As soon as they left we thought Oh no, Survivor is on and rushed downstairs. just as the fire challenge was going on. So I appreciate the screencaps very much!! Thanks Cuz for such a great job this season.
Just a general comment, pretty good season, some pretty funny moments (end fire challenge, ha ha ha). I thought Yul and Ozzie both did well, in particular in their respective specialties. But Boston Rob is still all-time champ, exemplified best attributes of both the startegic and physical play, plus he actually did end up with the hot chick, ha ha ha.
My Tivo didn't record the 2nd hour of the show.
I'm bummed.
I am glad also about Yul winning, Ozzy second.
Both deserved it for their own reasons. Funny, I picked that once I knew that the show was broken into race tribes, I told a friend that the asians would win. Funny reason was simple. They always gave rice to them for food, so they will have the advantage. Once I got to know who was on the show, I picked Yul before he got the idol. He was just too smooth.
Hey John, yep I was watching.
I was hoping Ozzy would win, but Yul was my second choice. The rest of the bunch that were left even in the final 10 were not my favorites........actually I didn't like very many of them at all. Jonathan did make things interesting.
Darn stingrays.........I will never look at them the same. RIP Steve Irwin.
