Yes FReepers and FReeperettes, its time once again for another season of Survivor.
This time they are in the Cook Islands, in the middle of the South Pacific.
I was going to start off this thread by informing you all about how Mark Burnett’s Production Company has decided to split the tribe along ethnic backgrounds. But that subject has been pretty much beaten to death on at least three different threads. So. . . .
I would like to point out that for all their talk about “minorities” not applying to the show as much as “whites” and about how they had to send their casting producers out to round up minorities, they apparently didn’t have to look too far.
Of the 20 contestants recruited for this season, no less than 13 are from California!
And of those 13, NINE are from the greater Los Angeles area!
So much for diversity!
Actually, Brad and Jenny started out on the same tribe as Yul.
WOW! Boy was I wrong! Oh well, I'm still going to say that Ozzy wins in a squeaker.
thanks for the updates. My pick from early on was Yul, mainly because Ozzy is a prick. If one of the girls wins it will set a new standard in "How to Survive Without Really Trying".
I think Ozzy will win. I bet Ozzy was one of the couple people who actually applied for the show. I think he really wants it. He has goes over those obstacles like a wild monkey!

Depends on what you are measuring. If it's challenges then Ozzy is the better man. If it's "outwitting" then the prize goes to Yul.
FWIW.
Since I'm hoping that Yul wins, it must mean that Ozzy takes home the money. But perhaps I missed it somewhere along the line - are they not giving away a car as a prize this year, so we can continue to bemoan the curse of the car?
Cuz, I just want to say thanks for all the postings this season. Even though I rarely comment, I read every word on these threads and often pass the info and theories on to other reality aficionados.
For the record, I'd be disappointed if Adam or either of the girls win. It has to be Ozzy or Yul to be a legit game.

They are giving away a car on the finale, but you (the audience)goes to the CBS website to cast your vote as to who you think should win the car-I voted for Ozzy, btw.
Anyone here? I'm rooting for Ozzy. I was wondering why nobody voted for Yul just to level the playing field before it got this close to the end..
