WACO, Tx War protester Cindy Sheehan is recovering in a Texas hospital after having a hysterectomy Tuesday.
Sheehan had surgery at Providence Health Center in Waco, about 20 miles from land she recently bought in President Bush's adopted hometown of Crawford.
Sheehan, of Berkeley, is expected to be hospitalized several days and then rejoin the peace vigil.
Sheehan's son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004. She first arrived in Crawford a year ago, demanding to meet with Bush during his month-long vacation.
Her 26-day vigil last summer in ditches off the road leading to his ranch drew more than 10,000 fellow anti-war demonstrators, but also spurred counter protests of Bush supporters who said she was hurting troop morale. |

Yes. Cindy is peri-menopausal. Some women go through excessive bleeding during this time. They can take drugs to minimize or stop the "flow". It's possible she took these but these are not working. A hysterectomy takes care of this.

I understand and agree with your sentiments!!

"Death wishes or wishes for further illness violate that minimal level of human dignity."
I wish death on any person that, by their actions, have demonstrated their hatred towards this country in such a manner as to place our troops in further harm's way. Death to every terrorist. Death to those whose mission OR ACTION may result in my death, or the death of any of my countrymen.
We are at war. Bring in the flamethrowers. Nobody speak of human dignity without an image in their mind of their countrymen jumping out of buildings for a few more seconds of life.
Don't like the commander-in-chief? Run another lying scumball to take his place. But when you lose, do not, for a second time, claim the election was a fraud!
All kidding aside, I resent anyone in this forum telling us we shouldn't wish our enemies to assume room temperature.
Human dignity indeed.

Should read, "run another lying scumball like John Kerry". This woman is a traitor of the first order. I make no apologies for hoping for her demise.

I agree with all of the posters who say we shouldn't be piling on Cindy Sheehan when she is going through such a difficult ordeal.
But I reserve my right to call Jimmy Carter a poopypants. That's where I draw the line.

Everything I know on the subject results fron the George Guilder series on the telecosm in ASAP years ago.
He posited the receivers in the telecosm would be placed even closer together and smaller antennas as wave lengths were reduced.

Sheehan is back in Waco hospital
Wednesday, August 23, 2006
From staff reports
War protester and new Crawford resident Cindy Sheehan was back in the hospital Tuesday, recovering from a hysterectomy, her spokesman said.
Sheehan, 49, whose peace vigil in the Crawford area this summer has been marked by exhaustion, health problems and hospital stays, was expected to leave Providence Health Center as early as Thursday, protest official Tiffany Burns told the Tribune-Herald.
Burns said Sheehan was in stable condition Tuesday evening after entering the hospital earlier in the day to undergo a hysterectomy.
Shes in really good spirits, Burns said, adding that Sheehan was looking forward to returning to the peace vigil she first led near President Bushs Crawford- area ranch in August 2005. However, she likely will focus mostly on recuperation the next several days with only brief appearances at the protest camp site in Crawford.
Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004, recently purchased five acres of prairie land just north of Crawford and several miles east of the Bush ranch to hold anti-war activities, especially when Bush is vacationing nearby.
Aside from Sheehans health problems and absences, protesters have had to shift schedules frequently as President Bush has altered his. The vacation that the president spent at his ranch earlier this month was only 10 days the shortest summer vacation of his presidency and confounded protesters who expected him to be there all month.
Bush, who usually spends most of August at his ranch, is expected to return to his Prairie Chapel Ranch next week for an extended Labor Day weekend.
Burns said protesters have felt anxiety about their ailing leader but werent letting the peace movement wilt because of Sheehans health woes.

Hysterectomy?
More likely an addadiktome.

I think you may have hit on the root of Crazy Cindy's problem. The woman has apparently entered into the perfect storm of preexisting idiocy, addiction to media attention, and menopause.

"Have all of you smart asses forgotten that her son died for this country. She has been a total anti american jerk, but her son gave his life for us. And we owe him something and that is not to be crude, disgusting about her. We may dislike her, disagree with her and think she does her son no honor. But I shudder to think of how he would feel today if he saw this thread. It makes me see red and makes me disgusted with every last one of you."
That needs reposting. Right on, C.Girl.
I'm a little wary of visiting LGFootballs today. I hope Charles Johnson, a good man, doesn't discredit his site by starting / allowing a thread like this.

Well, I had fibroids. And ten twenty years later, I am alive. So they are "benign" i.e. non cancerous...I should have clarified the term was being used as a medical term.
And I agree they aren't "benign" i.e. easy to live with....cramps, chronic pain in the lower abdomen, pain with sex, and hemorrhage every month is not easy to live with.
;-)

I can harbor that amount of resentment and more and it has no effect on my health. Each day is another opportunity to stick it to the hateful Left and I look forward to each new day.
Stay well!

In the headline, you omitted the "k." It should read "Sheehan is back in Wacko hospital."
