Cindy Sheehan Recovering Post-Hysterectomy (complication?)
CBS 2 News ^ | 8/22/2006

Posted on 08/22/2006 6:43:57 PM PDT by markomalley

WACO, Tx War protester Cindy Sheehan is recovering in a Texas hospital after having a hysterectomy Tuesday.

Sheehan had surgery at Providence Health Center in Waco, about 20 miles from land she recently bought in President Bush's adopted hometown of Crawford.

Sheehan, of Berkeley, is expected to be hospitalized several days and then rejoin the peace vigil.

Sheehan's son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004. She first arrived in Crawford a year ago, demanding to meet with Bush during his month-long vacation.

Her 26-day vigil last summer in ditches off the road leading to his ranch drew more than 10,000 fellow anti-war demonstrators, but also spurred counter protests of Bush supporters who said she was hurting troop morale.

I don't know what has happened here. It is as if every misogynist adolescent male has been unleashed to act like loathesome crude punks.

Their mothers would all hang their heads in shame if they could read what they think are clever remarks.

Sometimes it is like a gutter on FR. It so disgusts me.

Just FYI-I called the Medical Center:

Providence Health Center is located near the intersection of Highway 84 and Highway 6 in Waco at 6901Medical Parkway. For more information about Providence Health Center, call (254) 751-4000.

I spoke with operator, who, doesn't show her listed (shock, right?). The operator did say if someone asks to be listed as a 'no-info' patient that nothing can be given out, not even the fact they are a 'no-info' patient.

If I were her, I would be a 'no-info' patient. So, I didn't get very far.

just remember that when saying that, say, jimmy carter's wrong-headed foreign policy and messianic complex did much to cause the crises which afflict the world today and shall for the rest of our lives and the lives of our children, there is really nothing to add to the argument by saying "and he is a poopypants, too." hard to remember sometimes, but when put in terms like this, it gets obvious.

i remember a few years ago when sidney blumenthal was diagnosed with some kind of cancer. he was probably the most reprehensible guy in the clinton administration, which is saying a lot. i posted what was meant to be a kind of funny note, saying that if he died he would upset the balance of hell. and i was set upon -- and rightly so -- by members here who pointed out that this wasn't the kind of site where that kind of thing is thought funny, that we do not rejoice in the pain of someone with whom we disagree.

kind of wish there were a little more of that in the world just now.

It's called hysteria because the ancients believed that the womb would break free and float upward, driving women mad.

Well, to be honest, I've probably participated in my fair-share of 'Cindy-bashing.' Thanks for being cool.

While I understand your reasoning...and intentions...

..it's hard for many here to think kind thoughts about her.

We know the woman is misguided (to say the least)....but her hurtful slander against our President and his office....and her alignment with our known enemies works against our better selves.

We react to her & her ilk because they are in our face, the President's face and the world's face saying bad, vile, ugly, hateful things.

But I would never wish anyone ill.

It's hard for me to think kind thoughts, too. This is just the start of it. I appreciate y'all letting me vent about it because I do think she is harmful to the morale of many. I just don't want her to be harmful to my morale, anymore. I get lots of inspiration here on FR. Let me say again, I am not without blame. Just trying on a new attitude. It's tough, let me tell ya. Thanks for your note.

If she really had a hysterectomy .. there is no way in hell she'll be rejoining the "peace vigil"

It takes at least 5-8 weeks for recovery

I have not seen anyone wish this woman a painful death or anything like that. If this was Dick Chenney, what do you think DU would look like?

Hysterectomy comes from the Greek word hysteria.

I haven't seen that .. though I have seen some pretty tacky comments

I can't stand the women or any thing she stands for

But I don't wish her ill or suffering

After my hysterectomy last August I was told to do NOTHING for 8 weeks.....I disobeyed my doc and paid the price for it...it set me back another couple of weeks....so I don't think we will be seeing Cindy for awhile.

Not...if she had one prior to this supposed "event of defertilization." This recovery will be an "immaculate deception."

Actually I think it's the other way around. "Hyster" means womb. Check my post above.

My sister inlaw had one last year also ... and it took her almost 2 months to get back on her feet where she wasn't hurting so bad

This is a very serious operation and there is no way Cindy will be up and about for awhile

She could also use a histrionics-ectomy.
