Ya gotta believe! He'll take the points lead back next week.
That's a safe bet.
Happy way nearest another 250+ points behind the Robot and the field gets really crowded after that!
Remember, the points don't matter until after Richmond (unless, of course, you're on the outside looking in).
nice!!
I'm glad I saved most of my picks for the Robot for the Chase!
I'm just hoping my guy can make it out of Cali with a top 10. They're bringing the same car as Cali and Michigan.
Funny tidbit, one of the girls who went to the race stopped at the MRO tent and asked for a prayer. They asked what it was and she said we would like to pray for a safe race for Dale Jr. We're not asking for a win or anything, but a top ten....if possible, lol
From jayski's:
Rusty Wallace Involved in Auto Accident; Not Injured: Late Monday evening, former NASCAR champion and ESPN/ABC Sports lead auto racing analyst, Rusty Wallace and his wife, Patti, were involved in a major auto accident while returning from the weekends IndyCar Series event and a taping of the NASCAR Angels television show in California. The 2006 Dodge Durango Wallace was driving was hit directly in the drivers door by another motorist who ran a stop sign. Miraculously, all parties involved survived unscathed and did not require medical treatment.(RWI PR)(8-29-2006)

Hey folks, Junior here. I want to say thanks to everyone who came out to Paducah, KY last week. It was a great time seeing all the fans. Ken Schrader, Tony Stewart, Martin Truex Jr., and Mark McFarland joined me in a big NASCAR night at the track, where we signed autographs and took part in a donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation. It was a good time, and if you were there, hopefully you got a fried Oreo cookie! Id never heard of fried Oreos until Thursday night, but I must admit they were pretty good. Other than that, its been pretty low-key around here. I was really nervous about the Bristol race last week, and Im glad we got through it with a third-place finish. I try not to let my nerves get the best of me, but its crunch time in the race for the Chase, and I want in the Chase more than anybody. Fortunately I had John Madden to preoccupy my mind and help me not dwell on the Chase so much last week. The Madden series by EA Sports is probably my favorite video games of all time, and the latest Madden 07 -- came out last Tuesday. Me and some of my buddies had pre-ordered copies of the game, but we were so excited about the midnight release that we drove to the video game store early and stood in line for hours, counting down the time with about 50 or 60 other excited people. It was actually pretty funny. Cant say Ive ever stood in line like a rabid fan like that, but there I was last Monday night, shootin the breeze with a bunch of people I dont know. The best part is nobody asked me about racing it was all about computer games, video games, and MADDEN! It was a good time. Anyway, Im off to California this weekend for another important race. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going with another good finish this weekend. And oh by the way, Robby Gordon will be driving my #88 Navy car this weekend in the Busch race. Looking forward to that! Be good or be good at it. Junior.
Hey Steve, thanks for the on the scene report!!
It appears from performance that RCR is trying the hardest this year. With a little bit of luck, tires and adjustments Nawthurn should have won a race by now.
The haulers in full paint are a sight to see. They had the hauler parade last week in Bristol at night. I would love to see that!
Candyman is probably the second most sought after driver behind you know who. Well, there's Kasey, but he's almost a baby.
Gee I wish I had a brother who would run wireless for me. You're a good brother helping move and all that!
California thread will be up this evening....it's loaded and ready to go.
Thanks for the links.
Is it possible Smoke went on a diet?
Gilbert Brown is just THAT BIG (when he was playing football, he was between 350-375 pounds). He's now 400 pounds if he's an ounce.
Those are fantastic photos. Do ya reckon ya ought to post them on the Cali thread?
