We're trying very hard to get rain here today,

I even came home early from the medium size city day of fun because huge clouds were building.

That was hours ago and so far I've seen 5 drops.

Yes they do...for years, I've been trying to use the XP Networking wizard...to no success.

With the MAC server sharing stuff, I set it up in about 10 minutes yesterday...I am now able to use the MAC, see my PC hard drives, and click on the PC shared folders and simply drag and drop files from the PC hard drives to the Mac hard drives.

I've moved all my pictures and videos over...it's pretty incredible how it all works together...

The reason I make so many typos is because I sit in that big chair with the keyboard on my lap.

There are roadrunners out there, the only armadillos I've seen have been squashed on the road. The things you don't see, cause they're hiding, are scorpions and tarantulas and the occasional snake and skunk. Large herds of deer are our favorite of course.

And there's a frog who has made a home in my flower pot, I don't have the heart to kick him out. Oh, and there are bats and those dang fire ants too.

Critters??? You want critters just put a few bird feeders in the yard. Beside the usual birds one hopes come to your yard and you can expect to have mice, rats, skunks, possum, raccoons, fox and bears. All this just 5 minutes from downtown Eureka...

Hehe, the last wife used ta spread bird seed out on the front lawn in a 6 x 6' area. In the winter she'd have me shovel out the snow and she'd lay out a double batch of it.

We had rabbits, ducks, squirrels, cardinals, blue jays, grackels, and all sorts of birds communing together for the feast. It was picturesque viewing out the front window.

Deer run through the woods behind my house now and then. Sometimes on my lawn. Toads seem ta like my garage for some reason.

We don't got no snow in Eureka only rarely. Only winter birds are Juncos and a few Fox Sparrows and we feed millet on the ground for them. We have a good variety in the spring, summer and early fall. They nest around here and bring their young to the feeders...

Sounds sort of like my front yard, only I don't do the seed spreading (seems the birds figured out how to do that themselves :-)

My oldest son flew up from Houston. He spotted a grackle here in Salt Lake County. He pointed it out, I got the birder's field manual, and by gosh, there it was - a great grackle. I thought my son was making the name up :o)

I told the guy at the local bird food store about it and he told me "you didn't see a grackle." I told him indeed we did. He said "nope."

I don't buy bird food there anymore.

Haven't seen a grackle before or since. Strange lookin beast - yeller eyes and claws... irridescent black/blue/purple feathers. Son said they're everywhere down there.

The Blue Jays seem ta travel with the grackles. They make a heck of a rocous when they get together! Seen them in packs of 20 or more. Some of them big black birds are as big as cats! LOL

They hang out in the tall trees and squok at each other loudly! And they don't scare easily!!
