For your bookmarking assistance, this is a reference list of links to the Aug 2006 or newer Free Republic threads on the topic of the JonBenet Ramsey murder case and the possible arrest of John Mark Karr as a suspect in her murder.
I have *heard* that parts of the coroner's report was redacted. I don't know if that's true.
The only problem with that is that there wouldn't have been any internal bleeding. But the coroner's report shows that there was. The wound happened while she was alive.
I'm trying to think of a word that my CRS isn't registering right now - the movement of the brain in shaken baby syndrome - there is a specific term for it.
Here is a tiny bit about what didn't show up as far as being thrown against a stationary object or being hit from behind, for instance, while face down on the carpeted area. AAggh, it's like "bounce," only technical.
Anyway there wasn't much of it, only a little side-to-side:
" ... At the tip of the right temporal lobe is a one-quarter by one-quarter inch similar appearing purple contusion. Only very minimal contusion is present at the tip of the left temporal lobe. This area of contusion measures only one-half inch in maximum dimension ..."
Darn it, it's right on the tip of my tongue. (Sorry I said that, JBR.)
Wow, that's a lot.

Hmmm, I'll check into it. Maybe it's another rumor.
Thanks
That's an interesting thought. With her in rigor that is a possibility.
There is erosion of the epithelials. Erosion happens over a period of time. The estimate was 72 hours before.
Thanks
Yes, but I've never been able to recreate it in many tries with the same cord. It doesn't stay put.
They were at first, but Meyer stated the other night that it's all public - there is no more.
My child had a similar problem. She would hold her bladder for hours and leak small amounts of urine when she was playing. She also had issue with bedwetting. This caused vaginal irritation. My oldest daughter had none of these problems and she also had irritation from time to time. Yeast infections also appear as a rash on little girls. This can cause irritation too.
The garotte hanging off her neck - it had to have been loose before her neck swelled that badly - or the perp sat there holding it in place for an hour or two.
We used to live close to you until about ten months ago. We moved to Arkansas. We were in Baytown.
Was it internal bleeding? Or was it livor mortis? Her head was turned to the right. There was livor mortis on the right side of her face. The blood in her brain, at the time of death, didn't disappear. It would have all settled downwards due to gravity.
If my theory is right then the blood had pooled to the right side of her skull long before it was fractured.
"Darn it, it's right on the tip of my tongue"
I hate it when that happens!
The following is from the autopsy report transcript found here (below Patsy Ramsey photo):
B. Linear, comminuted fracture of right side of skullSkull and Brain: ...there is found to be an extensive area of scalp hemorrhage along the right temporoparietal area extending from the orbital ridge, posteriorly all the way to the occipital area. This encompasses an area measuring approximately 7 x 4 inches. This grossly appears to be fresh hemorrhage with no evidence of organization. At the superior extension of this area of hemorrhage is a linear to comminuted skull fracture which extends from the right occipital to posteroparietal area forward to the right frontal area across the parietal portion of the skull. The posteroparietal area of this fracture is a roughly rectangular shaped displaced fragment of skull measuring one and three-quarters by one-half inch. The hemorrhage and the fracture extend posteriorly just past the midline of the occipital area of the skull. This fracture measures approximately 8.5 inches in length. On removal of the skull cap there is found to be a thin film of subdural hemorrhage measuring approximately 7-8 cc over the surface of the right cerebral hemisphere and extending to the base of the cerebral hemisphere...There is a thin film of subarachnoid hemorrhage overlying the entire right cerebral hemisphere. On the right cerebral hemisphere underlying the previously mentioned linear skull fracture is an extensive linear area of purple contusion extending from the right frontal area, posteriorly along the lateral aspect of the parietal region and into the occipital area.
This might help us understand the forensic language used in the report:
Parietal bones - There are two parietal bones which form the largest portion of the top and sides of the cranium. They are fused down the middle at the top of the skull. In addition to the frontal bones, the parietal bones are also fused to the sphenoid, temporal and occipital bones.Occipital bone-There is only one occipital bone. It forms the back base of the skull.
In other words, the large rectangular portion of the fracture was on the right side of her head toward the rear. It would be approximately to the right of where the word "Parietal" appears on the skull diagram above. The long horizontal fracture radiated from there around the back of her head.
However, having demonstrated the location, the fact remains that the exact location of this wound is immaterial. What is highly material is when and how this injury occurred.
