Ok, this guy was a student teacher in Alabama, and according to a report I saw today he was confirmed as having worked there on Dec. 19, 1996. So he leaves his wife and young kids at Christmas and sets off cross-country (to a city there is no evidence he ever even visited) to kidnap this obscure little beauty queen (who remember was not world famous until after her death) from the safety of her own home (the layout of which he would have needed prior knowlege) during a holiday (when there is a high risk of lots people in the house with odd schedules) - all diabolically plotted from his freakin' home in Alabama?? What did he plan to do with her until the Ramseys ponied up the $118,000 demanded in the ransom note, keep her in his rental car?? A Motel 6?? Smuggle her back to the his home turf in Alambama?? This farce should have collapsed days ago.

One interesting aspect of this story...is that the Internet in 1996 existed but the massive amount of information that we have today...simply wasn't there. The odds of the Ramsey beauty queen episode being widely touted...is virtually zero.

And being from NW Alabama...I can tell you that there are very few airports to travel from. This guy would have had to fly out of Muscle Shoals at the very least...connect in Atlanta or Dallas....and fly onto Colorado Springs. There, he would have had to rent a car and drive around an area that he was totally unfamiliar with. No GPS usage in 1996 by the common user. Then done the murder and climbed back in to return on the 26th...its a 36 hour period that this idiot would have required to complete the entire trip...around Xmas time...missing Xmas in all odds...which the ex-wife would have easily noted if he had not been there.

No, the story does not add up. He is an avid reader, obsessed with the girl (and other young girls as well), and probably a certified nut. But he is not the killer. And other than that crime out in Cal that they've accused him of...there is no other standing charges. He will be declared innocent within 10 days and sent to Cal....finish up six months of jail time there and walk free. My guess is that he will be back in Bama within a year, selling used cars. Trust me...thats the way that things like this work.

John Ramsey has paid a lot of people to work on his behalf to 'prove' someone else murdered their daughter.

Imagine the mere suggestion that Patsy meet with the man they supposedly suspect of murdering her daughter.

This story gets crazier by the minute, but most of the craziness is being generated by those being paid by the Ramsey's.
