That's what I want to know and I also want to know how he was so familiar with the layout of the house that, presumably, he was able to take JonBenet out of her bed and transport her to the basement, where she was found, without making noise, being discovered, etc.
So far there are a lot of holes in this story.
Huge house, dead of night, familiar perp... I remember a case in San Diego not long ago... girl taken from her bedroom with parents in the house. They were really low life people and everyone came to their defense and ultimately convicted the real perp (surprise, not the parents).
I guess if you are well off and the same happens to your daughter it's not the same... get out the thumbscrews, you must be a perv who killed your daughter.
The handling of this case disgusts me. Prayers for Jon Benet's Mom, may she rest in peace.
There is DNA evidence to back up the claims of the police in this case. Also, there is a lot of evidence the police ignored during the original investigation because they were fixed on the parents as guilty. They weren't, there was no evidence at all of the parents committing this crime regardless of years of police probling, lying and manufacturing evidence.
They also covered up evidence that would have led to the arrest of this guy years ago because they wanted to nail the parents. They were blinded to the real facts by their training that relatives are the perps in most murder cases.
All this is a matter of record, with the DA that was in charge at the time saying recently that he tried to get the police to investigate the other evidence to no avail. His statement is long and very damning to the police.
