BANGKOK, Thailand - Thai police said Thursday that a 41-year-old American man has admitted to the killing a decade ago of 6-year-old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey in the United States.
Lt. Gen. Suwat Tumrongsiskul, head of Thailand's immigration police, told The Associated Press that John Mark Karr confessed to the killing after his arrest Wednesday at a downtown Bangkok apartment.
"He told police while under arrest that he did kill the girl but so far he has not pleaded guilty in writing. This is needed as official evidence," Suwat said.

Dr. Lee (who examined JonBenet's body) on Fox News last evening indicated that while she may have been sexually abused, there was no penile penetration and therefore no sexual assault....there may be a contrast in terms here on what constitutes sexual assault/abuse...I'll just wait and see where the evidence takes this case....providing the police department don't screw this up...again....
About the Ramseys being at a Christmas party and where was the babysitter...
The Christmas party they had been at WAS A PARTY THEY HOSTED IN THEIR OWN HOUSE.
That was one of the problems in investigating who had access to possibly doing the crime, because this was a huge affair with many people coming and going that evening.
Besides that problem, the Boulder police clearly believed the parents were the culpable ones, and that (focus on the Ramseys) did simplify what would otherwise have been a very complicated investigation, to say the least.
I think he did it... but he is liking what he is going through right now, it is just a new "high" for him.
There are reports that he may be linked to another case in Santa Rosa, CA but that is all I have read about it.
Sounds like he doesn't care anymore. He knows the DNA and handprint are a "gotcha". Add his "record" to it. Together, they erase that old "reasonable doubt".
Maybe he's dying and wants to purge his soul?

something has caused him to loose quite a bit of weight.
That would give him access to the layout of the house....and no one would notice.
So there's the possibility that Jon Benet KNEW the perp but he was obscure to almost everyone else at the party.
Damned be the USA media for effectively accusing and convicting the parents! The USA media have no shame.

His history shows he's a fixer-upper. He may have been at the house, or had access to the house plans. He had been emailing Patsy Ramsey for months regarding this case. It was the Ramsey's who tipped off the police.
The've all claimed in the last day that they don't know him. No one has even placed him ever in the state of CO at any time, except him.
