An arrest in the JonBenet Ramsey case is due to happen "shortly," according to sources in our newsroom -- I know I can't post the link to our site (we're a Gannett station, and despite the "ban", I would welcome the traffic), but most of you know where I work and what the site is...
According to our sister station in Denver, an arrest took place early this morning in Thailand.

That's interesting because I read report after report locally of pedophiles who are married, with children. I have never seen national statistics though.
You know what...good for your friend - she kept an open mind. You are lucky to have such a friend. How awful for Patsy to have to continually meet people who think you did this horrible, horrible thing.
John Ramsey said one of his friends advised him to get a good criminal lawyer. At the time he didn't think he needed one (the naive "I have nothing to hide" belief), but his friend gave him a dose of reality.
He said his friend told him they suspected them and this meant they would be fighting for their lives..
In that context, getting a lawyer was the only smart thing to do, especially knowing the authorities were looking directly at the parents and no one else.
But I would still need to pull out pictures to make sure I was remembering the correct year, not the one previous or the one after.

The police get repeat confessors all the time. However, someone on another thread said this guy had been questioned before. Lots of news yet to come.
Hope that never happens to me. I sleep in my underwear. When someone comes to the door while I'm in bed, I grab the last thing I wore the night before to answer the door in.

I'm thinking that the police are already aware of this so called alibi and that if they didn't think they had a case this guy wouldn't have been arressted.

Point being JonBenet was only born in Atlanta, only lived there as a tiny infant, then the family moved to Boulder. When they moved back to ATL, she had already died.
I agree.
Smart people know that the family will be the first suspects. But they know it makes them look guilty. What do you do?
