An arrest in the JonBenet Ramsey case is due to happen "shortly," according to sources in our newsroom -- I know I can't post the link to our site (we're a Gannett station, and despite the "ban", I would welcome the traffic), but most of you know where I work and what the site is...

I was never a 'Ramsey-hater', and never had much of an opinion on or interest in this case. It was just perverted, weird, and involved far too much Geraldo Rivera for my tastes.
However, I might caution you on your eagerness in serving up crow. What would you say if Jon Benet Ramsey's father skips town tomorrow before the arrested (and confessed) suspect lands in the territorial United States?
I think the media may very well suffer for this. Most people don't follow politics but EVERYBODY knew about this case and the media had convicted them right off the bat, accusing John of molestation and then accusing Patsy of molestation as well. They made it up. It's good when everyday people see bias in the media. Helps our side in the end.
No, if you look at what they're reporting now, it appears it was someone that they (the parents) had offered up to the police as a possible suspect, and that before she died, the investigators let her know that they were "pursuing his arrest". So hopefully she died with that little bit of piece after the torture she endured for a decade.
CBS reported that the suspect, a 41-year-old second-grade teacher, will be brought back to the United States this weekend.

There was some Congressional inquiry a few years back into some "child modeling" websites, and I checked out the two that were mentioned in the course of that inquiry (after reading about it on FR of course). One featured a girl of 10-11, the other a 5 year old. There was plenty to see for free (like crotch view of the girls wearing super-short shorts, etc.), but also invitations to join the site as a paying member and get lots more on a fee-or-service basis. Like you could send clothes for the girls to "model" and get stills and videos back. And talk to them on the phone. And at least a few such sites had been found to be arranging for the pervs to travel to the child's home town for in-person "modeling" sessions.
Those parents were obviously pimping their daughters. The parents of kiddie beauty pageant regulars are probably a mix of idiots who think this is great way to start their little darlings on the road to stardom, and greedy monsters who are eager to rent out their little girls to the highest bidders. I doubt the Ramseys were the latter, but they were also too sophisticated to be oblivious to what was going on around those pageants (unlike some naive trailer-trash type parents, many of whom may actually believe that there's nothing but legitimate "show business" going on, and that the leering men in the audience who approach girls and their mothers afterwards are actually the "talent scouts" and "casting agents" they claim to be).
One of the best investigators in Colorado,who came onto the case later on, said the Ramseys were innocent.

AP is reporting that Patsy was notified in June before she died, that this man was being persued.
I'm glad to hear that.
I say you are STILL holding onto unsubstantiated suspicions and should let the poor family have a break. May Patsy rest in peace...now.

no, it doesn't depend on money but somehow the poorer children receive little or no attention ....they grow up poor or disadvantaged and maybe even plain and their deaths seem to rile no one...no MSM ..no Greta....No Nancy's....
Fox News also just reported the name John Carr on John Gibson's show.
According to a quick Google search, there are two elementary schools in Conyers, GA. Only one of them has a 2nd grade teacher with a "male-sounding name."
