Sad ping.
That is very sad!!
Poor things.
A terrible end to a bunch of puppy-mill puppies. Poor babies...
Please folks - if you going to buy a dog find a reputable breeder or go to the pound. Pet stores should not sell puppies and if they stopped, puppy millers wouldn't have a buyer.
Save a life, adopt a rescue.
Horrendous!
That does sound like a puppy mill dealer. I'm surprised the truck driver and/or his company admitted it and did not just say it was loaded with pet store inventory. This story is sad for the puppies but horrible in the big picture.
>The truck was owned by the Hunte Corp. of Goodman, Mo., a major puppy supplier for pet stores.
"The puppies were all beautiful, healthy purebreds that were on their way to quality retailers in the northeast and eventually to loving New England families," the company said in a statement. The company said it has a near-perfect safety record.<
Notice there isn't a SHRED of corporate grief over the death of living creatures. Instead, Hunte jumps at the chance for a little free public relations for their "quality retailers" (spit).
Puppy mills SUCK
How awful. I'll go pet my dogs in honor of those poor little lost puppies. To say the very least, my three mutts that I got from the local rescue group are not purebred, but they know they're loved.
Eyes welled up :(
AWW this is so sad!!!
