I never saw the 1933 King Kong.. is it available to rent? worth seeing? I think with your info it would be good to see...In fact the only King Kong I did see was the last one and I liked it although not the ending. .. YOU KNOW what is going to happen (like watching the Titanic) but somehow, hope against hope it will be different.

Yeah, it should be. It is definitely worth seeing. Bear in mind that "King Kong" is an oldie, and has things people criticize about it...the acting is bad, the dialogue is hammy, and the special effects are dated...but the movie has a sort of primal element about it, and that's what makes it a classic.

In the new one, Kong was portrayed a lot more sympathetically than in any previous versions.
