I stopped by my dad's tonight, and the CBS eveing news was on. I saw it all, and hadn't watched any MSM in ages.
Even though I am a long time freeper, and I am familiar with the MSM agenda, I have to admit it was shocking to watch this tripe.
Here was the news:
Israel is killing babies, Bush isn't pursuing a cease fire fast enough, and they showed a clip of Chuck Hagel bitching about it as the news idiot acted like this was big news coming from a "member of the presidents party"
The heat wave is caused by global warming, and according to their expert, there is "no longer any serious argument about it".They showed the stock glacier melting and high water on the coast film footage.
Then the story about the turncoat Joe Lieberman, who is running commercials with Bubba Clintons endorsement. Then Gloria Borger say:"This is what's left out" and goes on to show Bubba saying he disagrees with Lieberman on Iraq, and then a bunch of boilerplate from his opponent. Her contempt for Lieberman was dripping.
Then the story that Americans aren't saving enough. They didn't learn anything from the Dot.Com collapse, and they're just basically idiots.
The obligatory condescending economist.
If I had to watch this crap every day, I would be suicidal. It was just awful, depressing, and it's no wonder the sheeple are absolute morons.
Not to worry. You were the only one watching.
(They may have had a few loony lefties watching too, but their "minds" are already mush and nothing CBS says/does will make their "minds" any mushier.)
It's annoying and depressing, I'll grant you that. I've spent more time than usual at my parent's house the last few weeks (my wife and kids were out of the country). They watch the MSM every night. Bob Schieffer, PBS News Hour, Chris Matthews, the works. They are pretty liberal, but you should hear them make fun of the foolish propaganda. Especially my mother. She doesn't buy a word of the anti-Israel line.
Don't get too down. The average American is much smarter than the MSM thinks. Most of the people who make the MSM news are really just talking to each other. They are using the entire mass media as a way to sniff each other's butts (think of two dogs meeting for the first time) and reassure each other that they are all on the same bandwagon.

I think the Chuck Hagel clip was the worst. Wouldn't it seem relevant to tell people who might not otherwise know that Hagel frquently disagrees with the President? Wouldn't that provide that all important "context" that these idiots are always talking about?
He fits the media template of "stupid" Republicans.
That's another reason why they offer him face-time

This morning, before leaving for work, I heard the local ABC affiliate announce that 'despite an agreed-upon ceasefire,Israel has started shelling Lebanon again'. Honestly, how do these people stay in business?? I heard the ABC affiliate again, around 4, say that 'Israel has started up it's bombing campaign again despite agreeing to a ceasefire'. Absolutely no mention that Hezbollah had never stopped the rockets into Israel. The bias is astounding!!
