Further proof that effete euroweenie men don't have what it takes and think someone with American glands is cheating. See what playing soccer and being socialists will do for you? It makes you stupid and castrated.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'm packing an extra load of testosterone as well. Especially when I'm at stage 17. Watch out girls!

I wonder if the beer and whiskey he drank the night before can produce testosterone?

Looks like it will be a quick interview. King has four stories tonight.

I am praying, praying that the first high result is just Landis' naturally high
male level of testosterone.
Or that some lab-rat worker accidentally (or maliciously?) mixed up or
substituted a sample. Even just to cast a bad light on Landis even if
the B test is negative (normal).

But...that isotopic check just doesn't bode well for him.

I get the feeling he's telling the truth. Looks kind of sad and bewildered.

are there any controls in place to protect the riders from some mischief in the lab?

Well, I put in about six years working in toxicology and testing of hormone
levels (by radioimmunoassay). This was about 2 decades ago.

No matter the level of care...lab mistakes are always a possibility.
Add in the politics and money that comes with a Tour de France win...and I don't
immediately discount the possiblity of subterfuge.
Even with those saintly scientists in those crisp white labcoats.
Or anybody in the "chain of custody" from the testing of the sample, down
to the person typing the result into the lab computer.

Lance says the lab that accused Landis is the same sketchy lab that slandered Lance and ran from backing up their false claims.

    Lance on the phone.

Kind of makes me hear something uttered by another Frenchman...
"Rick, I'm shocked, shocked that false allegations of doping have been
made against an American that has won The Tour de France!"
