I've had it while in Canada a few months ago. So much better then the junk they sell here in the U.S. I had no idea why it tasted better until your post.

I've been looking for this as well. Living in the south, there aren't many Jewish communities around here that need to be supplied with it, so we NEVER see it here. I have to travel somewhere or order it if I want it. I'd love to find a place online to order it from.

Appreciating Passover Coca Cola thread. Kosher for Passover means real sugar, no high fructose syrup, apparently. ;)

I avoid HFCS to the best of my abilities. I've been drinking this small-batch soda made with sugar. It is a little pricey -about $4/six pack bottles, but I don't drink more than one bottle per day.
I hate HFCS but we'll probably never remove the tariffs on sugar to make it cheap again to use as a sweetener in mass-produced items.

My understanding is that you can thank Archer Daniels Midland for soft drinks having high fructose corn syrup in them. ADM has successfully kept US sugar prices at roughly twice the world price by the use of lobbying efforts to create quotas. They are also the largest supplier of high fructose corn syrup, which just happens to be halfway between the price of the world market for sugar, and the double world price that US consumers pay. ADM also is the world's largest producer of ethanol.

"Coke made with good old sugar, not HFCS"
This is news to me...I'm interested. I drink one Coke a day usually, would like to try one with real sugar.
My grandmother always claimed she was the first to drink a Coca-Cola in Yazoo City (she was just a young lady). She then proceeded to drink one Coke a day until she passed away at age 96.
Think that first Coke she drank in those early days had some real "coke" in it....or is that just a rumor?
