Feel free to weigh in, is it a good deal, or a tacky nonsense? The stars would be small gold ones, or perhaps a small blue field with a white star in them (patriotic theme) for example.

It'll need some refinement for quarterly donors, etc., but I like the principle. Shows exactly who the Freeploaders are.

Some of us donate in proportion to our spendable income. It might surprise you what many of us are able to squeak by with each month just to stay alive. I'm just as proud of the relatively small amount I donate here as those who are able to donate more than my annual spendable income.
How about if we each have an annual yard sale and send in the proceeds? If we are already making the budget, what more is needed anyway? Unless JimRob needs to expand or replace equipment or needs to increase his operating fund. In which case, he should let us know how much he needs. No problo, as I'm sure the regulars would jump in and meet the need somehow.

Don't like the idea. I'm a dollar-a-day FReeper, but have a FReeper co-worker that is hard pressed to donate because he has 4 great kids. I don't have any children. Who's the greater contributor to our society, my $30 bucks a month or future conservatives?
