Everyone needs to have fun in life and stop living life so rigidly. I love your attitude!
If you bottle it and sell it you could make millions! ;)

I think Debbie Harry (Blondie) has had a little nip and tuck, but she's looking pretty good and still jammin' out and having fun at 50+ years old.

Yes! I forgot about her. I saw her perform on TV recently and she looked great!

I never thought she was ugly. Odd certainly, but not ugly. In her own way, a kinda cute odd.Right. Odd. Ugly was a bad choice of word.

Stevie Nicks looks really good for someone who is 58 this year.

WMMR--Yeah, that's the station I listened too. IRC there was an American Bandstand knockoff that aired on Channel 29 in the afternoons too. Good times!
My brother attended Glassboro (now Rowen) so I got a taste of Philly music. But I don't recall The Rumblers in the early 1980s. A band I remember big was Philly's own Frankie and The Knockouts.
BTW, I haven't listened to Philly radio for about 17 years, is MMR still on air. I know NYC stations I once listened to have changed their target audience including WNEW-FM and WCBS-FM.
As I grew into more punk/metal/ecclectic, I listened to alternative stations like Princeton and Rutgers. Damn I'm getting old.

Debbie Harry is in her 60's now, I believe. She was in her 30s already when Blondie made it big. I remember she started out in the 60s in some hippy flower power band, but man she was gorgeous.

If I had to choose Cyndi Lauper or Madonna I would choose Madonna as being more intellecti . . . intelectuous . . . smarter.

Madonna is smarter and better looking than Cyndi...no question. I can't stand either of them, though.

Fortunately I won't be required to make the choice any time soon, but it is well to plan ahead just in case.

Hey...one night, you could be alone in the bar at the Sheraton in Kalamazoo, Michigan, nursing a 7&7 and they walk in five minutes apart. You're feeling a bit randy, and you must decide: It's good to have a plan.

*shrug* 'sok with me if you thought of her as ugly, in matters of taste, there is no right or wrong.

Saw a Crossroads show on CMT that featured Pat Benatar and Martina McBride. They were great together and could pass for sisters. PB is around 12 years older than MM. I wish they'd cut a cd. It would be a seller. I'd love to see them in concert together.
