"Spoken like a true Time "Man of the Year"."
I didn't see the President talking about FARC in this year's SOTU....
Of course, he did the "noble religion" dance, but he didn't name any non-Muslim terror groups, now did he?
Yeah, that sounds good to me. Call me when you're ready. ;o)
No. Do you read English? Because I wrote "I still would like to know what translation you're using" and neither said nor inferred that I read Arabic.
Doesn't narrow it down.
Exactly.
Considering Jesus was born a Jew, it isn't consistent with Scripture.
Dinosaurs are consistent with Scripture. Doesn't mean that they weren't fearsome creatures that ruled the earth for millions of years.
Have you? You've polled the Muslim world on this issue?
I don't make blanket claims about the Muslim world like you do.
So, you are a Muslim.
Your reading skills must truly be lacking. Unless you are using this as an insult.
If anti-Semitism is against "everything you stand for", there's a massive number of people throughout history who have also misunderstood Islam...
How does my stance against anti-Semitism translate into a massive number of people throughout history misunderstanding Islam?
"Intellectualize" my way out of what? That picture? I'm not in it. Nor have I ever wanted to slay or butcher people who insult or mock Islam.
Saying that your argument causes people to question your intellect is not "talking down", it's a statement of fact. I had asked another person to back up his claims about what was in the Qur'an with the offending passage(s) from the Qur'an. Pretty straightforward. Your response to this was to post a link to the website musings of an imam in a village of 1,000 outside Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. I just wanted to let you know that people who confuse the Qur'an with a South African website are usually not considered to be very smart.
Again, if you wish to have your "religion" considered civilized,
My religion IS civilized. And since you clearly don't know what my religion is, you are in no position to criticize it.
"Your reading skills must truly be lacking. Unless you are using this as an insult."
You used "we" previously.
"How does my stance against anti-Semitism translate into a massive number of people throughout history misunderstanding Islam?"
It points to Islam being the problem.
Submission to God.
which means get the F out of my country cause you will will never conquer the American spirit you damn sick F.
Are you talking to me? Or is that the plural "you", directed against Muslims? Or some combination?
So did you. It's the first-person plural personal pronoun in the English language. A common word.
It points to Islam being the problem.
The fact that I oppose anti-Semitism points to Islam being "the problem"?
"Saying that your argument causes people to question your intellect is not "talking down", it's a statement of fact."
No, it's an insult.
"I just wanted to let you know that people who confuse the Qur'an with a South African website are usually not considered to be very smart."
I provided a single example. You act as if there aren't more. That's intellectually weak.
From earlier:
"When one is, it's against everything we stand for."
"My religion IS civilized. "
Who is "we". An increasing number of Americans have a negative view of Islam. Islam reinforces this by its actions throughout the world.
"So did you. It's the first-person plural personal pronoun in the English language. A common word."
So is "the" and "a". Pretty nonsensical reply.
"The fact that I oppose anti-Semitism points to Islam being "the problem"?"
No, the prevalence of anti-Semitism in the "Islamic World" does.
"By the way, asking you if you read English, that's me talking down to you."
Whatever you say, son.
That's the face Islam shows the world... yet they demand we not only not question them, but respect them. Change our laws for them. Give them money, even. Amazing.
You provided an example of a chapter and verse from the Qur'an, like I had asked for? No. You provided a South African village imam's website.
Not being able to distinguish between an original text and its interpretations, that's intellectually weak.
And the fact that that imam's website plainly stated the opposite of what you claimed is the epitome of intellectual weakness.
It's also nonsensical to say that the fact I used "we" makes me a Muslim.
No, the prevalence of anti-Semitism in the "Islamic World" does.
As I've said before, if you only pay attention to the parts of the "Islamic World" where anti-Semitism is prevalent, then it's easy to say that the "Islamic World" is primarily anti-Semitic. If you only pay attention to the parts of the "Islamic World" where anti-Semitism isn't prevalent, then it's easy to say that anti-Semitism isn't a problem. Of course, the "Islamic World" is big and the truth lies somewhere in between. Yes, there is a terrible problem with anti-Semitism in parts of the Islamic world. But not all the Islamic world is anti-Semitic, so you'll have to find other common denominators that the anti-Semitic Muslims share. It's probably not just one, although I would say that anti-Semitic imams' anti-Semitic teachings are at the top of the list.
