DURHAM, N.C. -- Officials say they are investigating an alleged assault involving Durham police officers outside a Raleigh bar.

I doubt that Duke has gangs. It speaks volumes that NCCU should be involved in outreach about the local gang problem. Isn't NCCU mostly black students?

There may already be a problem with Thomas's story, at least the second one (to ABC). In the N&O story yesterday, "Thomas said he shouted mockingly at the driver’s raucous display. A passenger in the truck, whom he described as white, yelled a racial slur at him, Thomas said. Thomas, who is black, returned with a different racial epithet." In the ABC story, he says he yelled, "Woo-hoo!" and "You go!" in support of them driving off squealing their tires. But he also said he deserved what he got. The two versions don't square. Gee, I wonder if the defendants will grab onto this to show Thomas is not credible. But that doesn't matter as much in this case because the words were incidental to the assault. In Mangum's case, her multiple stories center on the alleged act itself.

It looks to me like she's managing herself, and while reading all her advertising info in the lists of different agencies and groups she claims she's affiliated with, she actually mentions she's a callgirl. If she's managing herself, she's taking in the money and performing the act, and that's straight prostitution - no escort agency arrangement for cover. It would be just too rich if she could get busted for hookin'.

I hope defense counsel has downloaded and printed all of this - her entire site, all the phtoos, all the information, etc..
