Ever see a photo op or a press conference that a controversy-plagued public figure has called to divert attention and instead the unruly and uncooperative reporters insist on changing the subject back to the controversy? This usually occurs when the public figure has colossally fouled up and has been avoiding questions. When asked nicely to go back on topic, the press ignores the request and continues to drill in on the controversy? I’m sure you applaud that kind of tenacity in the press.

This is like that and you’re that public figure. The N&O has fouled up big time, you’ve been in hiding, avoiding questions, and keep trying to change the subject to anything else. Your own medicine disagreeing with you is it? I keep reminding you that you no longer control the dialog.

Your whitewashing (you should forgive the expression) of the racial angle to the DPD’s behavior is inexcusable especially since it first appeared in the on-line edition (to borrow a phrase: “we know you know”) and then it was sanitized for both the print and on-line editions.

OK - I'll take your word for it but I can't believe that Nifong is allowing her to still work. Just like the ADA's myspace page he probably doesn't realize how this stuff gets copied and sent all over. This must be "leftovers" that haven't been purged.

Everyone should remember that this LENDS credibility to the theory that the lineup was orchaestrated and manipulated - Gottlieb and Clayton.

Also lends credibility to the theory that the Prosecution is corrupt and not interested in pursuing justice.

Really makes the Cabbie arrest and jailing look like witness intimidation.

Clayton was involved, reportedly, when the Police entered Duke Dorms without search warrants and questioned the Players without their legal representation.

It makes it easier for one to believe that a Group supervised by Gottlieb suppressed exculpatory information and may have manipulated other evidence.

These liberal bleeding hearts should no longer be able to see Nifong and the prosecution as the Good Guys versus the Bad Guy LAX players. Of course, some will persist with their silliness. It may make some question the whole thing, some that have not up to this time.
