This is not really an exaggeration - but when I lived in Ireland, I met only a handful of people who believed the moon landings were real. Scary stuff.

He's some idiot preacher, his name escapes me now, that doesn't believe we really went to, landed on, and returned from the moon. Aldrin had had some run-ins with the jerk before this event. All of the moonwalkers have had run-ins with him. There's also a video of thie prick confronting John Young of Apollos 10 & 16. Young took off running for a waiting elevator. Young looked like he could take him out. Neil Armstrong mentions him in the book "First Man". Said he came to his farm in Ohio and barged right on into Neil's house and wanted him to swear on a Bible that he never made the trip. Neil got rid of him less forcefully than Buzz did.
