Update: Monarch has contacted us and we will be updating this information with another post in a bit. Monarch explains they will have a lot of inventory on AM2 and 939 AMD processors for next week.
The rumors of the AMD price cuts have been batted around everywhere and we have verified that they are coming, but Monarch Computer is the first retailer we have seen put the prices in writing on this page. Keep in mind these prices reflect Combo Deal purchasing that will be shipped next week, and is not yet available on single AMD processor purchases. Undoubtedly the dual core 3800+ AM2 is one of the ones to keep your eye on at $149. Not shown in the picture below is a single 3800+ AM2 OEM processor for $109.00! You can contrast these prices with Intel’s new Core 2 Duo and Extreme pricing shown on this page.
