I like his show too. And his wit. I just didn't care for his live reporting during the hurricanes last year. I don't like it when anchors go out on the field to be in the "thick of it". I prefer Shep at the studio and Rick Leventhal, for example, in the field.
By "Drama Queen" I didn't mean to question his sexuality. None of my business. For me it's just a term used to describe someone who puts an exagerated dramatic emphasis on something.

He is entertaining and I don't think he's that biased either . He just goes way overboard when they send him out into the field and he comes off way too Geraldoesque . Keep Shep behind the news desk , that's where he belongs .

SHEP is OK. i don't see you over there.I met Shep back in the late 80's when he worked for the local NBC affiliate here in Panama City, FL. and know him a lot better than you do. Unless you spent several hours with the guy in person, you're "talking thru your hat" (old timer talk for "B.S. ing").
Point number two "i don't see you over there."
That's because my watch ended at my retirement (after 30 years), but don't think for a minute that I wouldn't like to be back where the action is, if I were physically up to it.

Hey, he claims he's a Jew-Rican. I wonder how Geraldo would be regarded in Israel.

Good question.
My husband calls him horrendous revolver because his nephew could never pronounce his name right. It fits, for some strange reason.

...I agree and CNN is much better at breaking news...but they also have an international infrastructure built up over many years when FOX was not even around.....for pure news...(not political analysis), CNN is still much better....when things are happening you'll notice they have more video, more non partisan experts in the U.S. and abroad....and FOX trots out their same old guys that are here....it takes them hours to get someone on the ground there when CNN is already there.....takes years to catch up...

Show's almost over. No over-the-top drama. He was serious as the situation over there requires.
I'll eat crow.
Good night.

I was walking through the living room and my wife said "you have to see this little drama queen in Israel" and I knew instantly who she was talking about. A while later I come across this thread. Good to see that great minds think alike. He's really playing this up way too much - he's acted like you, me, and everybody else had no idea how dangerous northern Israel is right now, and that it's his mission to bring you the danger.
You know what's dangerous, being between him and a parking space. Old joke, very old joke, and doubtful if many would remember it.

Don't get me wrong. Shep is a very talented guy and he will continue to make it. Like any young person he's pushing the envelope to get ahead.
Sometimes we (or at least I do) push the wrong way, get burned and learn from it. He learns from his mistakes and is very conscientious about his work. It just happened that he "bumped a few buoys" on his way through the channel.
He will come out on top, but he is not immune from criticism.

I thought he did a good job with Mississippi though. Nobody much cared about Mississippi at that time, and I thought he at least showed compassion for his home State and gave it a spotlight.
I don't know, I just get this feeling about Shep, that he was raised up the right way and some of it is still with him. Maybe seeing Isreal being bombed in front of his eyes will help bring the rest back? I'm glad he's in Isreal and not the Gaza strip. Either way, I doubt it was his choice to be there, he must have had to give up his vacation for this.

He avoided the eyeliner and got his hair dyed to near blond. My wife also commented he dyed his eyebrows.
I thought he looked like he just woke up.
I dunno.

Not your imagination. And he had Bart Simpson spikey hair.
My wife digs it. (I just cannot read her anymore)
