Can someone throw a bucket of water on Shepard Smith? His hair is on fire.
Fox News

Posted on 07/13/2006 12:19:52 PM PDT by Recovering_Democrat

Shepard Smith just referred to the current situation in the Middle East as a set of dominoes. He also implied America can't respond because we are "spread out" all over the globe.

He is about as frantic as any woman I've ever seen.

He used the image of an "ink blotter" being knocked over by Iran...

Look, I like FNC, and I watch them because their reporters are pretty good--but the fearmongering by SS is a bit over the top.

Maybe I'm just gettin' too old to be fretting about it, and I certainly don't want to make light of the situation. But seeing a freaked out anchor is a bit irritating, and doesn't add to the information or education about the news.

I'm glad to know people got some sense after that. He really acted like a girl. It was embarassing. Of course, I regularly get called on the carpet on Fox threads because...well....I don't care for several of the "Friends" either.... ;)

You're not too old, I was thinking the same thing. When he went to that "ink blot" analogy everybody including the reporterette he was talking to was thinking..."What?"

Hello, Everyone:

The range of comments on this thread restores my faith in FR members.

While we sometimes look to Fox for "fair and balanced" news, it is, after all, in the news business and does what it takes to attract eyeballs. Shep clearly attracts attention the same way that Anderson Cooper does and Bill O'Reilly and Al Franken. Tough way to make a buck and try and get to sleep at night without medicinal assistance.

Can't wait to see what happens with Katie Couric at NBC and Dan Rather at HDNet.

He needs a good b*tch-slapping... he's constantly opinionizing throughout his reports too . Can't watch him anymore... replace him with a panicky, good-looking woman... at least it'll be easy watching.

I wish I had that "Clockwork Orange" movie poster with his face instead of McDowell's . . . he really DOES wear that much eye makeup."

What he needs is his smelling salts. He's the Aunt Piddy of Fox. Always feeling faint.

I guess this means that everyone has also forgotten how his panties were in a wad post-Columbine.

That crap-sack was suggesting that we shouldn't have guns in the U.S.

Last night, I wanted to find out what was going on in Israel, so I kept Fox News on after Brit's show. I thought Shepherd was going to either wet his pants or come right through the television (or as my mother would say, "have a coniption". He was in an absolute tizzy! He wouldn't let the poor reporterette in Israel get a word in edgewise. I changed the channel.
