My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Thank you, thank you, and now lets have one of our other poets try their hands at a rain poem.

That rain poem is really top quality, definitely anthology material. I tried a few lines, but nothing's gelling. I think you have the last word on rain poems today!
I'm going to look into scanning photos from one of those little disposable cameras today. At that rate I might could get 30 some pictures up on the Internet for a total cost of 10 bucks or so. Do that three times and that should be enough pictures to drop in and post for the next five months!
So I might spend the day buzzing around all the trendy tourist spots taking pictures today, and then post some of those (after I iron out the details). Then again, if the plane crashes flying to the north tomorrow, well then.....................................................................................................................................................BOOM!

Patter of rain on a tin roof
lured me to sleep as a child
soothing a weary played out kid
into the land of dreams
The room was hot I remember well
tossing in my bed I could not tell
were the stars out tonight
there was not a window in my room
so restlessly I tossed around
when suddenly I heard them patter
on the roof top their little song
first a gentle tap, tap, tap,
a heavy rain the beat increased
to a roaring crescendo
as the smell of hot tar from the near by road
filled my small room
I thought think of all the red newts
walking the gravel side of the road
it's night and I dare not leave my bed
to gather them in my hand for a moment
to feel the softness of their skin
and see their brilliant red/orange color
Lured into a dreamy sleep
counting red newts along the road
and the pitter patter of rain on a tin roof

Ah ha, you are here. ;)
Pictures, yay how exciting you will share these with us. A tourist view of the Orient.
I am working on a web site for our Selected writings. It will take a while but I am really hyped over it.
Your offer of going thread hopping, definitely will be called upon in the coming months.;)

Elvis Presley said, "I wouldn't be honest with
you if I said I wasn't ashamed of some of the
movies, and the songs I've had to sing in them."
