My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

It's funny, I followed that link for the picture posting site and a big message came up "This country banned for violating our Terms of Service".
Taiwan and China, where they steal literally everything? Banned? Naaahhh, must be some kind of mistake!
So it looks like I can't use the site from here, but maybe Thailand will allow it. We'll see soon enough.

Everything's fine. Work has entered a kind of twilight zone of indecision. As I said previously, we had a contract date to finish, then a new agreed upon date, then I offered a few weeks as optional, then they started interviewing now, four weeks before the original contract date, now they're nervous about the new guy and are talking all huggy kissy to me again.
Meanwhile it feels strangely like this job has already ended like four different times, yet I still go in every day!
It's weird, but fortunately harmless at this point. Just hanging out in a foreign culture. Actually it's no so foreign anymore. If anything the Westerners seem kind of weird to me now (remember that song "I Think I'm Turning Japanese"?)
They (or should I say "we") the Westerners, are just so selfish, it's me, me, me. While Chinese seemed robotic and heartless sometimes, now Westerners seem neurotic and compulsive, always worried about what they want next!
We're all individual units who are out for ourselves. Really comes across when you've been hanging out with a more or less hive mentality. I guess everyone in the world is screwy! I guess any human system of society is going to be flawed and have unintended side effects, no matter how meticulously it is planned out.

Yes I have an almost unlimited supply of stories! They are calling out to be recorded some place!
On another cool note, the May 2006 DoD Report thread is now at 819 views! Not too bad. I found that popping into a thread that is already about Iraq, and dropping a single quote from the report that directly pertains to the conversation at hand (and adding the link at the end), did wonders for getting interested people to jump over to the report thread.
A more targeted strike than just dumping the whole analysis around. I wonder if it can get up to 1000 views?
Of course the next Report is due out in August, must find a way to post that from Thailand!

About a 150 miles north. There was a big blow a few years ago, and many trees were toppled. Liberal enviro-twits wouldn't let the fallen trees be cleaned up and the result is miles of dry, tinder dry and oh so ready fuel! It was going to happen, this was just the year!
