Fresh activity on the blog...

Well, this isn't a real helpful article. All we know is that her phone was used at 12:26am. We don't know when it was last used before that. My guess is that she made this call to her pimp, probably for a ride since they were leaving long before the scheduled time, right before she went ass-over-teakettle down the back steps. She didn't reach him so she went to go down the steps to get in the car with Kim and fell and dumped some of her stuff in the yard.
What about Kim's cell phone records?
Lol, imo, the phone call isn't the story. The story is that the NandO has finally gotten off its fat behind and done some real reporting, hehehe...
Unreal. Just frigging unreal.

I only found one comment that was about coverage of the case, but nothing about the case itself. Did I miss something?
Lol, Jez, I was trying to be sarcastic. Hehe, it's too early in the morning for me to try and be clever.
Seriously, though, maybe all those complaints on Melanie Sill's blog are having an effect...
It would help if I read the entire article before I post. I didn't notice it was an excerpt.
So the earliest she could have arrived was 11:39. Add a minute to get out (or fall out) of the car and start to walk up, so 11:40 is more accurate. We know, according to neighbor Bissey, the women talked to one of the players for 5 to 10 minutes on the side porch before going in - probably closer to five, so let's say 6 minutes and they enter at 11:47. They mill around a couple minutes and get ready to perform, about 5-7 minutes, so they start the dance about 11:55. They perform about 10 minutes, until 12:05 or 12:06, then head to the bathroom. Reade makes his first call at 12:07 and is gone by 12:14. Even if they can't prove the women went into the bathroom, Reade had about 1 minute to commit the rape. If Reade couldn't have committed the rape, then neither could the other two, according to Nifong's story, because they were all in the bathroom simultaneously and Mangum ID'd Reade 100%.
Oops.
Yeah, remember Nifong saying in response to being questioned about Reade's timeline that, "What if that's not my timeline?" Nifong is stuck with the 11:40 arrival at the earliest, and photos of them dancing as of 12:05 lock the time frame for the rape after that. Nobody in their right or wrong mind is going to dance after experiencing a violent gang-bang rape and Kim has already put them continuously together until after they stopped dancing anyway. So Nifong is stuck with a post-12:06 rape with a defendant on his phone almost continuously starting at 12:07 and out the door at 12:14 - 12:16. Mangum says the rape was thirty minutes, but even if it was half that long 15 minutes - it still could not have happened. Even Nifong's Democrat fuzzy math isn't going to get him around the timeline.
Adds mystery?
There's no mystery here. This is a lynch mob led by Nifong
Chances are though the defense will ask for a summary judgement and short circuit the jury.
No judge in his right mind is going to let this train wreck happen in his courtroom.

"The NandO finally does some reporting..."
Yeah, but Melanie made them put it in the sports section.
There is nothing in evidence reviewed by The N&O or filed in court to indicate that Durham police investigated the call made at 12:26 a.m.
I think you just hit on a potential problem with this case....
With RARE exception, "judge" and "right mind" just don't belong together...
Your insight goes double if the judge is a Democrat.
