The bar scene got old fast, and some of my friends had very questionable taste in men, especially one who sang in a band. Oh the stories.

This reminds me of something I just heard in Alaska (20th wedding anniversary).

Alaska is legendary for its surplus of men over women.

So apparently Alaska women have a saying to describe this:


"The odds are good, but the goods are odd!"

I always wanted to visit Alaska, at least the not too rugged parts, a family member tried to organize a group cruise trip there a couple years ago, but we haven't gone yet.

LOL, I think I've heard that. Reminds me of a friend (probably heard it from her, she's hunted and fished there years ago) who loved the 'wild and woolly' guys. She married one. But she's more outdoorsy than he is, so it's a good match.
