In your experience, which has the best search engine: Google or Yahoo?
Google appears to be the preferred by Internet users, but I consistently find more information using Yahoo.
What am I missing? Why is Google all the rage?
Thanks.
I like dogpile and altavista.
google has a political agenda and this affects the results your search will yield.
Try dogpile.
Except special events like Memorial Day and Veterans' Day, when Dogpile has cute little graphics to honor the day.
Google loads faster as its search page is smaller. Yahoo claims faster results in what it returns, but IMO that is not the case.
On the plus side, Yahoo does not have the ads (yet) that Google has on the right side of its page.

Google definitely wins the pinpoint-keywords title....very helpful in the IT field when you're looking for the exact number/name/syntax of a file, an error message, etc.
Yahoo have prostituted themselves to the nth degree by offering 'bump-you-to-the-top' deals. It's less of a search engine and more of an ad lottery. Still a good portal to find other sites and their finance section is quite good.
Wow I like it! Thanks!
Google it and let us know!
Dogpile is really the best all-around search engine I use. Google is good for exact matches.
Who uses Yahoo?
