Broward County schools' progressive policy on transgendered children will be tested by the admission to kindergarten this fall of a boy who believes that he's a girl.

One little girl entering Broward County kindergarten this fall is actually a boy.
Few will know this genetic truth, because the 5-year-old's parents and school administrators have agreed that it's in his best interest to blend in as a female.
Mental health professionals have diagnosed Pat -- not his real name -- with gender dysphoria, a condition in which a person believes that he or she is the opposite gender. After two years of examination, they have determined that he is not simply effeminate or going through a phase.

It's not so much that.
It's more that we hate everyone.
Five year old kids are the worst, the guiltiest, and deserve the harshest punishment by then. They should know better! They are FIVE!
No breaks. Full responisibility must be taken.
And gimmee yer damned candy, ya crying little midget-monkey.
Can't wait to have kids.
Does any man truly like theirs?
I beat mine often.
I bet you wear glasses too!
Nmo, but thje hair on mny palms makes itt hard toi type.
Not true. I came out in a little tiny NASA moon suit.
Upon seeing the doctor, my first words were "Houston, we have a pronlem..."
My parents wanted a monkey.
But thats what happens when you are born to carnivel operators.
"Odds are the biggest problem is the mother with the counseling degree."
Ding! Ding! We have a winner. Good post.
A scratch-and-sniff game! I love scratch-and-sniff games!
Speak for yourself. I was born wearing a pocket protector and a clip-on tie.
When I published the VOBNS, one thing that really stood out is that about half of all the news stories on wierd and deviant behavior in the US happened in FL. But at least they're a red state!
By the way, you killing me this morning....
Oh, for the love of God. If one of us had tried this . . . well, we wouldn't have, but a spanking cured everything else bad we did at five.
And how did the discussion go?
My little brother had gorgeous blonde curly hair when he was small, and he was just a Gerber-baby-lookin' kid. My sister and I adored him and thought he was cuter than any doll we had. He liked the attention, and we loved to dress him up.
When we put makeup on him, Mom drew the line (she was more worried about us jamming the eyeliner in his eye), so she got us the big Barbie head. We still dressed him up, though.
I finally get to meet Richard Simmon's sister.
The kid is doomed. Sad.
Oh, no, he's all boy. (Actually, he turns 31 tomorrow.) He's a good redneck guy - drives a pickup, drinks beer, wears Wranglers and Ropers, and likes him the ladies. ;)
Yes, I think so, too. The 'exposure' to other lifestyles and multiculturalism and the development of tolerance. Sooo key for the social indoctrination they hope to instill and the family influence they hope to neutralize.
And of course the whole group identity thing within the classroom. Curious how group identity with one's peers is so vitally important but completely smothering when group identity extends to the child's identity with one's family. Curious, but not surprising. It seems so socialist already. It has for some time.
Funny how that's not bullying, isn't it? And re-educate to what end? That a 5 year old thinks he's a girl? I can't believe they've assigned a label of gender dysphoria to such a young child. He's not even into the operational stage, he's barely out of the stage where everything make believe and real can become one world. If you've been around children, especially ages 3&4, you know what I mean. They aren't dressed as Superman pretending to save the world, they are Superman actually saving the world. How can they be really sure at his age that he wasn't just pretending? How does the little boy even really know? Did they explore ways to reinforce his actual gender roles? We'll probably never know.
If I were a parent in any of the BC schools, I'd sue to PROTECT my little girl from sharing a restroom with a boy.
Yes, absolutely. What about when he's 10 and 12 and 17? Will the girls' want him in the same bathroom? And don't they have a right to say 'no'? And will he be safe using the boys' room? I guess the school has a ton of re-education to get busy with.
And the parents who complain? Expect their names and all personal data to be 'leaked' to the public and let the slander of their good names begin... Apparently that's the 'real' problem here (eyeroll).
My question: If he changes his mind, if he can sift through all the doctors labels and he decides he wants to be a boy, what will happen? Will he be permitted? How will he ever assimilate with his peers then? Or will he simply be in need of yet more therapy? (Rhetorical really, I think we know....)
