Katrina said she was on a hijacked flight in 1978. I have found only two hijackings in 1978 A Phillipies Air Lines flight but can not place her on the flight. The second plane in Cyprus and it is unclear if it was a commercial flight.
I think she is lying for affect. Just as the Governor Richards of New Mexico did when he said he was drafted in the first round by the Kansas City Royals of the American League and Kerry did in saying he threw his medals over the White House fence in protest of the Vietnam War. I don't think liberals can stop themselves from lying.
Can anyone help me verify her hijacking story? Does anyone have a bio on her. How old is she? Where did she grow up? Where did she go to school, college?
Would a spoiled Limousine Leftist lie?
From an internet search:
After she'd met Cohen, he asked vanden Heuvel if she would smuggle
dissident journals out of Moscow. He thought that she had a diplomatic
passport --because her father was then the U.S. Ambassador to the United
Nations in Geneva. She didn't enjoy diplomatic immunity, however. (It was on
her way to see her father in Geneva in 1978 that vanden Heuvel's plane was
hijacked by a man -- a former low ranking Nazi -- who demanded the release
of Sirhan Sirhan and Rudolf Hess. The hijacker was later arrested in a chess
club in Manhattan. "And I am cured of my fear of hijackings," vanden Heuvel
says. "In fact, I fly with no fear. When I go, it will not be on a plane!")
In the dog house already, Newbie.
Explain how I am in the dog house.
Where did you find this? What airline? What month?
Good questions. I'm not finding the answers to them either. Lets see what the reply is. Curious as to the veracity of her story myself.

In other words, what we were looking for.
The first response was this web site:
I can't vouch for it's accuracy. On that page, you can use ctrl-F, and search for the word "hijack". You will find the text I pasted here.
My post wasn't so much meant to provide proof, as to say that if you use the web you will likely find enough information to show she didn't make up the story. I think it's good though to question everything these people say
I'm not sure the Wikopedia entry mentioned it, but I didn't look at it much.
Thanks for the info update. I appreciate your help.
