Haven't read many of these kinds of threads here have you?
OH lighten up!This is just a fun movie that is not dirty or have anything about Bush in it. I am looking forward to see it . I want to see a movie that is fun for a change and if it is a jerry B movie it is going to be a fun time . I for one am tired of political movies in Hollyweird and sure am glad this one finally came out. The last one I saw was The Lion , the Which and the Wardrobe. Johnny Debb might be weird but I like Captain Jack and his friends. Sorry to disagree with freepers on this one but I can' t wait.
"What's with the "American's are such stupid dogs" comment?
Sounds so Communist 50's"
Yep I agree it does sound that way. Depp made that comment (maybe not verbatim) a while back.
"Your loss, Depp is a great actor."
I couldn't agree less. Have fun
"Keira Knightley on the other hand, in spite of her handlers is nothing but magical."
GL miscasted her in TPM. GL should of cast her in the role of Padme rather than her handmaiden. Knightley has more talent in her little finger than Portman has in her whole body.
I meant in the Star Wars series, SW3 places 6th in adjusted gross.
Where can I sign up to be one of her handlers?
I was going to watch "Domino" today, but my TV literally just died...
I've had a Mitsubishi TV that's been terrific for almost 16 years now... So now between threads here, I'm checking out TVs... I wish that I could get a replacement Mitsubishi, but they don't make "regular" TVs any more. I think that the cheapest set they make is for home theater at over $1500! Any suggestions on brands?

"...and all of it is better than giving money to an America hater."
My sentiments. Watching the grass grow is better than Depp sitting in France spouting how he wouldn't have his kids raised in America, but he'll sure take all that American money and Oscars. Nope... not on my dime.
Went with a friend to see RV...
I'm not a great fan of Robin Williams, but we wanted a popcorn movie that was easy to watch.
It was exactly that, and surprisingly I found myself laughing through most of it.
..It was just corny fun.
I'm looking forward to seeing Pirates
Domino is great. Rent it on DVD.
Going by ticket sales (gross/ average price) it's 5th, it's also 5th in . But it doesn't matter, it still made a lot of money and ticket prices did not go up by anywhere near the $2 you said (19 cents since 04), so all your statements are wrong.
I respect why you'd say that.
Personally, I don't care what the pizza guy says about George Bush to some reporter doing a 'man on the street' interview. I just want him to deliver my pizza hot, and on time.
I don't pay Johnny Depp for his political opinions. I pay to see his movies, when I like the premise. "Pirates of the Carribean" was a great deal of fun, I really liked that movie. This one really looks like it might even be better than the first. So I'm going.
That's Adam Smith's "invisible hand". Capitalism is people with wildly different goals working together, each to further their own ends.
I'm a capitalist and a believer in free speach. I buy things from people I politically disagree with every single day.
And I think they all have they certainly should feel free to tell any reporter their opinions, if asked. And I feel free to disagree with them.
If you watch her in Love Actually then Pride and Prejudice you'll see the magic I'm talking about......King Arthur and Domino while not magical, shows she has range.
About your TV ....I've designed umteen Home Theaters...I'm very familiar with Mitsubishi.....mail me a list of what you are looking for, size, budget...etc.
Why would anyone buy French wine? There's better stuff coming out of California and Australia these days.
"There's better stuff coming out of California and Australia these days."
I'm not a wine expert but think there's better stuff from all over. The french culture has stagnated and is quickly being replaced by a violent muslim one.
In-theater movie viewership in the US has declined every year for the past 50 years....you can't refute that. By saying Pirates 2 is the biggest opening in terms of dollars is not the same as saying it is the biggest opening in terms of tickets sold.
