Maybe the over 1 billion US $ the FIFA is shelling out to pay for the infrastructure is going to help it.

I guess SA will end up with some top notch stadiums and nothing to do in them afterwards.

Until the election for FIFA presidency 2007 isn´t over (Blatter needs the African votes), we cannot continue speculating. After it, we may very well hear more news and maybe even a decision.

Personally, I doubt that 1 b. US $ is enough money to build roads, stadiums, and satisfy the demand of hotels, cars. We haven´t yet spoken of a security system. Of course, I hope that my concerns are not reasoned. After all, we remember the situation before the Athens 2004 Olympics... but this time, it´s Africa and not a EU-member state.
