After being at every Italy match in 94 and seeing an injured Baggio miss one and Brazil win in PKs, well let Italy enjoy this one.
Forza Italia!
They have already had a couple calls from upstairs during the World Cup...via the headsets.
WOW- They're singing a Hymn ...
Would it be too much to ask you to change your moniker to xactlyWRONG?
I was wrong. was thinking about another group. Still don't think the USA is very strong.
Exception to my watching pro ball live are our FR Super Bowl threads;)
Torna a Napoli, Cannavaro !!
Nooooooooooooooooooooooo Madrid
The World Cup looks like our Christmas spiral sliced ham in its gold foil wrapped up after dinner
(How's that winter stadium thing going to work?)

We didnt even score a goal against Italy.
Yeah. But in this case, someone on the field actually saw the foul.
Still don't think the USA is very strong.
Well, no one said they were one of the top teams but they can be pretty competitive and can hang in there with some of the top teams. They have a ways to go but they are not at the bottom of the heap.
Gotta agree.
Love the world cup, and I don't even play soccer.
But deciding the game on "penalty kicks"?! Talk about lame.
Imagine deciding a basketball game by free throws or a the British Open by who can make the most putts from 10 feet.
Here's my suggestion, worth exactly what it cost me to type, let them go 3 on 3 until the goal is scored. No offside rule.
I only watch college football also....have no interest in pro football.
Side comment - if they can get manage to get all of the fans out of the country in the next few days, German police and others seem to have done a good job of security during this tournament.
The USA's goal scoring was non-existent this World Cup and it's something they really have to work on but other teams weren't exactly tearing it up either. Italy only scored one goal in that game, even being a man up for half of it.
Did I hear correctly--this is Italy's 6th appearance in the Finals, and their 4th Championship?
Pretty good record--even if most of the wins were in the 1930s.
I am so glad that the frogs lost.
Yup. Hamstring injury. Surest way to get loft on your shot.
