Yeah right, Florida would cease to exist if they offed all the gators. Just like the lower forty eight states ceased to exist when they hunted the wolves to near extinction, and Africa has ceased to exist since they decimated the lion population and kept the remaining ones in government parks.
Almost all the shore birds nest over gator habitat, the gators are a vital part of that chain. Gator wallows in some parts of the state provide water for many other species, gators are a vital part of that chain.
I've been in Florida for almost 60 years, I stay here because I like it. If I did not like it, I would leave.
