"I had forgotten that this is their "Gay Pride" week"

How many gay pride weeks do they have per year?

Would a straight pride week be bigoted? If so, then why isn't gay pride week bigoted?

Well, like they say, if God doesn't destroy San Francisco he owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology.

Entitled to your opinion and all, but if the South wasn't allowed to secede when there was no legal impediment, I hardly think you can cut The City off from the rest of this nation. And why pick on San Francisco? You think this is the only place in America this stuff is going on??

Do a better job of research next time you are scouting out vacation-destinations, would be my advice.

Believe me my friend. I wasn't there on vacation and when I return there in 3 weeks it won’t be a vacation then either.
There are much prettier sights in the country in my opinion and I wouldn't have to spend my life savings on a hamburger or tank of gas.
Understand, I didn't "pick" San Francisco. San Francisco "Picked" San Francisco. Your fine city spits on America on a daily basis. I say that San Francisco has nothing of value to contribute to the Nation as a whole so cut her loose. Why continue to support a sick sow?

You should be happy that I am suggesting that the United States secede from the great country of San Francisco. You all can then do as you please and pay for it yourselves without criticism from Americans.

It's nothing personal. I have nothing against you but the direction San Francisco has gone in the recent past has led me to believe that there is no hope for the city as it is now. I say cut our losses and move on.

By the way, there are differences between seceding from San Francisco and the South seceding from the Union. The United States couldn't survive without the South and the North knew it. The WORLD can survive without San Francisco.

Your sons aren't scarred for life, unless you encourage them to be. My family's from that area. People really, really, really have no idea how bad it is in the Bay Area. They visit; it's beautiful; lots to do and see. But inside SF is a corruption and a sickness they've not even begun to witness but should they stupidly elect liberal democrats to ANY office in their counties and on up.

I remember SF before the "ugly" took up residence there. I was in love with the City, and its people. Saw and bore witness to how SF slid into the Hellmouth it has become.

Sorry you and family had to see what has become rather commonplace in a city that was once a sweet, clean fishing town.

Until you've witnessed this type of tribulation, parts of the Bible can't be keenly or adequately comprehended.

Los Angeles has different problems. I think SF's are far worse.

If you're dumb enough to plan a "family friendly" vacation in San Francisco, you got what you deserved.

I love fleet week, and have been lucky enough to see it a few times in person. It is so beautiful to see those ships cross under the Golden Gate, I would hate to see it somewhere else. Perhaps the city should be avoided during Pride week.

I don't understand why businesses continue to locate in SFO. Evidently the mindset so demonstrably prevalent there is not as far from the mainstream as some of us would prefer to believe.

Try opening a book once in awhile, San Francisco has a large gay community! What's your next adventure, going to Fort Lauderdale during spring break then complaining when you see naked breasts?

If the city of Sturgis, South Dakota can impose a $100 fine and a night in jail for 'frontal nudity' during Bike Week (Think 'Daytona' for you east coast folks), these other places can too. It is a matter of resolve.

I feel the same sense of frustration in my community. It seems like every week, but even more often in May and June and perhaps September, people throw these profligate, drunken parties. The debauchery sickens me and would sicken any God-fearing person who reads the Bible and understands that a Christian must give all they can to the poor...and more. In these parties, which cost tens of thousands of dollars and always involve copius consumption of alcohol (God knows they couldn't do what they do without likker in their bellies.), a woman promises to be true to one man and right away, the little tart lets various men lift her skirt for a garter. A damn garter. Now, even though this woman typically wears a heavy skirt, it seems the barest breeze (or in this case, the laciest garter) can lift it. Then these drunkards spill out of a church, a hootin' and a hollerin', and drive through the town, again and again, honkin' their horns with no sense of decency. They're flaming straight people. I wouldn't mind them so much if they had the deceny to do what they do in the closet, but must they be so open about their debauchery? Their drinking? Their spending? The thousands of dollars they spend on clothing that's only worn one day? And more half of them make promises they won't keep. And according to my Bible, which says that a sin contemplated is the same as a sin commmitted, they're all adulterers: at least any wife that's watched a Brad Pitt or Robert Redford movie and wondered what it would be like to be with those boys...or any husband that's watched a pretty girl and wondered. So, what business do adulterers have with marriage anyway?

Anyway, I share your frustration with San Francisco. I know what it's like to have profligate partying in a town. It seems like every week is "Straight" Pride Week in my town.
