Pittsburgh -- A city attorney is suing the creator of a Web site that lets women dish dirt on men they claim have wronged them, saying they made defamatory statements about him.
Attorney Todd J. Hollis sued because he contends two Pittsburgh-area women and other anonymous users posted items about him on in which they claim he is unfaithful, among other things, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Thursday.
Hollis filed the suit Thursday in Allegheny County against Tasha C. Joseph of Miami, who created the site, which bills itself as a "cost-effective weapon in the war on cheating men."
Joseph, 33, a former columnist for the Miami Herald, said any man can post a rebuttal on the site.

Sure, as long as the flip side is allowed, as in the women who do wrong by their man.

Maybe their comments are justified, maybe not, but they should not be anonymous. He has a right to know who is saying these things.

It seems more like a man bashing website than an expose of adulterous men.
Further, the type of folks posting there seem to be from the shallow end of the gene pool. The managers of the site could do a lot to clean it up.

The site does allow for rebuttals and telling the other side of the story.

These days every family in America should have an attorney among them to sue anyone who ticks them off or rains on their parade in any way.
That, and to have a defender from other families' attorneys when they come callin'.

"The site does allow for rebuttals and telling the other side of the story." Nonetheless, he has a right to know who is saying something about him. And he should have the right to a certain amount of privacy in his life, and not have intimate details made public because someone is angry at him. People should not feel compelled to defend themselves in front of total strangers on the world wide web. Good grief! Now if they want to go on the Jerry Springer show with the other trailer trash, fine. The owner of the site deserves to be sued, as well as the "anonymous" posters.

If your gonna play, you may have to pay! I don't think he has a case.

The Dating Game. People who don't treat others with civility usually end up paying for their missteps.
To: wolfcreek
"People who don't treat others with civility usually end up paying for their missteps." Other than anonymous comments, there is no proof that the men who are being bashed treated anyone uncivilly. And frankly, the people who are posting the anonymous comments don't deserve civility.

The website does use the term "alleged cheater"....LOL!
I read the comments about him......and a couple of them are what I would call "inflammatory".
The thing is...even if he wins....he loses... because now people will wonder if these things are really true.....talk about reasonable doubt.....

I am with you on this one. But the guy shouldn't worry to much because there will still be plenty of other stupid women out there who will date him, I mean, he is a lawyer and all...:)
He should not have brought so much attention to the site.

That's very true! He really has no choice but to sue. But still, he "loses" because regardless of the truth, his name is out there on the world wide web forever because someone got mad at him and became vindictive.
I'm realize that people sometimes get some undeserved emotional pain, and I'm not unsympathetic. But adults need to handle this type of thing, it is what separates us from the middle schoolers. It may feel good to the people who posted the comments, but if they had the guts not to be anonymous, anyone would also want to avoid any kind of relationship with them too!
