Yeah, kinda like a blow dryer on high one inch from your face. With dry heat you feel like your skin is crisping and peeling off. At least with a little humidity, your sweat cools you off a little...they both have their pros and cons. :)

I road my bike up to Chimney Rock and Blue Ridge Prkwy last weekend. Man, it felt like the whole place was air conditioned.
Yep. It can suck the breath out of you.
I come from Houston. So I'm very well acquainted with humidity, too. In Houston, the air can be tangible. You can grab handfuls of it if you so desire.

Not with the humidity we get here in Norfolk....air you can wear. It's gets so humid that the sweat doesn't evaporate....it just stays there, and soon you feel like you're stewing in your own juices.
