The 10.4.7 Update is recommended for all users and includes general operating system fixes, as well as specific fixes for the following applications and technologies. It includes fixes for:

Just finished uninstall-install and for the first time since I've had my G5 iMac printing works fine on my HP 6110. Also instead of downloading HP's full set of software, I just downloaded the printer driver which had an earlier version number on it.

Untill today at which time it has started screwing up again.
