I think Chelsea have locked themselves into a very expensive way of running a football club although of course they can afford it. Any young upcoming player would be mad to go there now.
Also, if Chelsea buy Roberto Carlos, then I truly think Mourinho has lost the plot. Their full backs could do with upgrading, but Roberto Carlos is not the solution.
Agreed and with the odds, a cheese head win pays 2-1. My friend forced me into it. He's now down 135 pinatas.
That is what matters at the ends, shots on goal but most importantly GOALS.
Thanks for calling those stats to my attention...I hadn't noticed them, and you're right, they're both impressive.
When did offside become 'off-sides'...?
I would love to see that. Brazil seems very beatable this time around.
You're right about the back line. Not been the same since Desailly. I really loved seeing "The Rock" back there. Boy was he smooth.
There's really no reason to bring Roberto Carlos or his type. They need more of an Eddie Pope. :)
That's a good World Cup fact. But we don't call them Uruguay anymore.
They are now known as the Butchers of Uruguay.
Don't want to see their ugly tactics in a WC again. Ever.
Guys, what's the verdict on Germany-Argentina. Should be interesting. Does a test in the previous match help you in the next one here?
I'm down with the Argyles. It's time for the hosts to focus on hosting. :)
I haven't the foggiest.
Hopefully, we can finally lift the Champions League cup next season. It will be great for Terry, Cole and Lampard to have something to go with their World Cup winners' medals.
Argentina will beat Germany 2-1 or 3-2. It should be a great match but the Argies are just too good for our sausage eating hosts.
Germany will crush them. No "Hand of Satan" this time for the Argies.
I see you missed the latest memo from FIFA :-)
Seriously though, I have no idea. I think offsides is often used in American football.
Me? I am not a native speaker.
In Norway we say Åffsaid :-)
I look forward to either result.
I think the Germans will make it.
They have a date with destiny in Berlin.
40 years of controversy is about to be put to an end.
Unless the Italians spoil the party :-)
I thought some of you Over There ("here in England, it's so green/martian men can move unseen") might be able to help.
I think Brazil would benefit by playing Juninho more.
Thankfully they seem to want to keep him on the bench.
Sun commentaries on the WC? Sounds intriguing.
How well does it sync with the ESPN video feed (if you're watching here in the states)?
I guess my other languages are screwing me up. How many languages do you speak?
Do you speak French? hors jeu
