It's not so much that I hate traveling - I love visiting new places and it's a little adventure for me, even if it's not a notably exotic place.
One I get to my destination, I really enjoy myself. I just don't like all the stuff that I have to go through to get from point A to point B. Getting up early, getting to the airport, waiting, lines, metal detectors, waiting, piling on a plane, delay, delay, sitting there for the 5 hour flight, land, delay, everybody files out, more lines, waiting. Ugh.
Once I get in, cleaned up, and settled, I can have fun. :-)

Oh, I understand that part. I feel the same way, too.

I know how you feel. I've flown a bit in my past, but I developed a claustrophobia and can't fly anymore. I get chest pains just thinking about it too much. When all is said and done, driving is just as easy for any trip under about 750 miles. For anything under 900, I'd drive even if it weren't just as easy. If a place is more than 900 miles away, I just don't go there.
