I wonder how they came up with these clueless callers. I don't think they were actors. The show had a one joke premise but there were flashes of genius.

You have Savage and Levin on the same station?

One joke premise, consrevative show, liberal show; it's all pretty much a one trick dog and pony show.
But is it any good is the question.
I think he was.

I loved his Latin Lothario character, where he'd be a "guest", and get into conversation with a clueless female caller, along this line:
Latin: "The women find me irresistible, especially when I do the tongue"
Caller: "What are you talking about?"
Latin: "La la...LaLaLaLa..La la la!"
Caller: "You're disgusting!"
Latin: "Admit it - hearing that, you are dampening, are you not?"
It'd go on from there, Phil further enraging the caller...

For his sake, I hope he's not thinking of a TV career...talk about a "face made for radio"...

I always thought the feminist callers who "did not get it".
The problem was the airtimes. Just don't listen to the am radio at night.

I just hope he made the right decision. I've seem him on TV and he is really funny. He made the right decision as a Registered Democrat supporting Bush.

Never liked Glenn Beck, especially now that his smug puss is plastered all over CNN.
Howie Carr is a hoot. Laura Ingraham and Hugh Hewitt are also growing on me.

Ahh, Rudy Canosa, hillarious.

Funnier that that new jingle for "Mint Green Anal Wipes"?

At Ted's of Beverly Hills...
We want to put our bleep in your mouth...
I was only an occasional listener to the show...but when he started
playing the bleeped version...it was a real screamer.
Actually the guvmint censors did Phil a favor in that case.
Sort of like the "this weekend in needless censorship" on Jimmy Kimmel's
Friday night shows.
Some of their "censoring" makes pedestrian material into well-nigh
off-the-chart funny and subliminally obscene.
