Uh no.. The only reason why reimaged Battlestar worked was due to the fact that the old Battlestar was corny as fraking hell.. I would like to see Buck Rogers reimaged.

Maybe an explanation of why early Kingons looked so different than later Kingons.

As for the ship's mission, Zabel said the new mission would be "oriented toward discovering the truth behind an ancient life that appears to have had a hand in creating the numerous humanoid species throughout the universe. Hmm. Sounds more like Asimov's Foundation series.

We know that Scotty was constantly called upon to perform technical miracles and ably did so...but what if Scotty was a female character (just an example!), proof positive that in the future women equally excel in science and math? Don't even think about making Scotty a woman.

Or why the spelling changed from Klingon to Kingon.

Yeah, the true Trek fans won't take lightly an "alternate universe" idea, I'd bet.

To: Mobile Vulgus; All
Well the classic BSG fans didn't take to the alternate BSG (I was one of them who hated the idea), however, I have a feeling there are some class BSG who likes the new BSG...

Enterprise dedicated a two-part episode to that - 'twas genetic engineering.

Maybe an explanation of why early Kingons looked so different than later Kingons.Worf dealt with this rather effectively in "Trials and Tribble-ations."

What? No cybernetic comic relief/sidekick? ;-)

I agree, modern SFX and a good team of writers could do something quite cool with a retreatment of Buck Rogers. Some of the old episodes were good while others were just plain goofy.

Babylon 5 was so superior to anything Trek, that if anybody can do it, that would be Straczynski himself.

The ones that I enjoyed that were the ones that dealt with Draconian Empire.. I don't want to talk about Season 2...

... until they cast this boob as Kirk.

Several episodes of the original BSG were on SciFi today.

 I still like it better!
